New Horror Mystery Boxes!

Just got online after seeing the announcement on Hot Topic's website. Not gonna lie I'm sorta disappointed; the Facebook post made t sound like is was gonna be an All Beetlejuice Mystery line and i was SO GUNG HO and hoping to finally get my Wedding Beetlejuice. Dang.

IMO the Jason was kinda lazy, like Jason with speargun would've been nice! I need the Alex for sure, which means I'll probably end up with 9 extra figures to trade/give away O:)

I'm not really feeling these and I generally despise this type of mystery boxing. So, seeing as I only want Alex, but don't NEED it. I'm gonna pass.

but Jason with spear gun would just be another Jason, this is the first time we're getting a Roy even if it is a bit of a lazy Headswap to make him.

yeah, which is kind of funny since I think he might've used the most varied arsenal of any "Jason". he did get Edna and Junior with a cleaver and had a machete in the barn at the end...but never a knife.

well sure 7 was an out of the box killer which I appreciate, but Roy used the most variety if i'm remembering correctly. let's see we had

road flare
Machete (a few times)
axe (twice)
hedge clippers
belt
a pole (looked like part of a road sign to me)
cleaver (twice)
railroad spike

Sorry if this is a dumb question, but I'm an In Box collector. Are these packages in such a way that you can display them in the box afterward? I.e. does the mystery wrapper surround the plastic insert that holds the pop or does it just cradle a loose pop? Thanks for any clarification you can give!

They're exactly the same as every Pop. The mystery box is just an outer shell. Or that's how it's been with every mystery Pop at HT so far.

These will be my first mystery box. I am pretty excited, I have to work weekends so I have my girlfriend going to get me 5 in the morning before the dispaly is all picked through and crushed from people feeling for that nose.

I was about to come ask the exact same thing. There haven't been a whole lot of Pops in the last few months I've wanted. FINALLY something I'm looking forward to. I'm still pretty disappointed because they could have done a lot more with the horror line than this, but I want them nonetheless.

I have to work so i sent my girlfriend to get me 5 haha. It might be in her head but she is convinced she can feel a weight difference between 3 for sure, and she feels in her gut she got me a chase. She said a group of people bought 3 and got all 3 commons and went back in to try for the chase. She is also upset i wont let her open them without me. So as everyone gets them lets hear what you got.

Went this morning, got my set. You can feel Alex nose in the middle of the box. Pinhead is the heaviest, Jason is the lightest

the NO butcher knife comment....100% perfect. They did have some great death scenes but none involved a knife in F5
