Update on SDCC/GameStop Shared Exclusive Gears Of War Marcus Fenix (Golden Lancer) Funko Pop?

I think this Pop deserves its own thread since there's some odd circumstances going on with it. From what I know there's still no reports of this being found in GameStop stores or on GameStop.com. Does anybody have any news regarding this Pop? Has Funko commented on what's going on with it?

I got pretty much everything I wanted from SDCC 2016 except for my most coveted item, the SDCC Marcus Fenix (Golden Lancer) Funko Pop. Just hoping for some news regarding it so I can stay on my toes.

I went in yesterday and put $5 down on pre-order. It shows as 8/15 release date. It's definitely in their system and specifically says gold lancer and is pre-orderable right now.

The gold lancer preorderable Marcus at GameStop isn't the Summer con exclusive. It's just the regular Marcus that funko released glams of along with Carmine, Drone, and the others. It's that same Marcus with a gold lancer no locust head and I'm assuming Gamestop exclusive. Again there are two different Gold Lancer Marcus Fenix. The Con exclusive and the preorderable one for August September release

They are very rare it seems, the EB Games up here I've only seen it at a few of the stores, and none of them got more than 2. There's one small EB store by my house that has 1 left if anyone needs I can get it tomorrow.

Ordered mine at PC. I have yet to talk to a Gamestop employee who has a clue about it.

Yea I talked to the store manager at mine. He was pretty knowledgeable about the two gold lancer versions. As conniving enough I switched my gold lancer pre order over to the locust drone

Since I have no chance of getting the Con Exclusive (Normal Lancer) of this, think I'm going to skip and just get the common without a head in his hand.

Yes I actually picked one up at a GameStop in Terrell. Seems like a hit or miss though. Most seem to have gotten 2 in but they say pre orders.

The main set is still set for September, but it looks like GS at least sent out the preordered quantities to the stores for pick up.

One of the other threads informed me that it came into stock. Figured you might want to pick yours up in case your store does a 48 hour preorder hold like mine does.

Gamestop are finally getting these in. Most are only getting the amount that they had in preorders. My local store called me on Friday to pick mine up and they are the SDCC versions (which was a bit worrisome for a while) and also they're retailing at $15 even if the preorder price was $11.99 but that was expected.

Well they never called me, so I guess I will have to go in to the store and see if they came in. If they sold it out from under me, this will be the 2nd time Gamestop pulling this crap
