WWE Mystery Mini Case Setup?

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

WWE Mystery Mini Case Setup?

Postby poppetmaster » Tue Jun 21, 2016 9:16 pm

Does anyone know the case setup for these? I saw two cases at Walmart and would like the Walmart exclusives only. However, haven't seen anything about these. Again, it's the Walmart case setup that I am wondering about. Any help appreciated!

Somehow missed that thread in all the scrolling. Do you know if that is the top layer or bottom?

That setup is no longer correct. I pulled the front two and the middle right on both cases and got 2 Hogan, 2 Warrior and 2 Macho Man. It's possible that someone messed with them, but if that were the case, I doubt I would've pulled 2 of the same exact figures. Didn't bother buying the other 6, even though those were probably Roddy, Duggan and Andre. Spending another 40 bucks to find out wasn't really a gamble I wanted to take.

No I think Funko changed things up, people in the Horror Series thread are saying the same thing. They changed layouts for the second run mm it seems

I wonder if Roddy and Duggan are still on the top layer then....they could've been moved to the bottom, if that is the case.

Sound like they just rotated the top layer as Hogan and Warrior were the back row in the original case layout. Since you got the same ones pulling from the same positions, I'd wager that Roddy and Duggan are in the back row.

It's possible, and that's what I was thinking...however, it is also possible that they moved them to the bottom, no?

Definitely possible. I just think it makes more sense from a cost perspective for the factory to simply rotate the top layer. Don't know if the cases are packed by machines or people. But either way, it's easier and less confusing to redo one layer than two.

Maybe buy one from the back row, open it in store, and if it's Piper or Duggan, go back and get the other.

I noticed Walmarts got a restock of 1-2 cases at some locations. The layout matched for me but maybe they changed them up?

Went back to Walmart today and got the two in the rear on both cases. Surprisingly both cases were EXACTLY how I left them yesterday. Got 2 Hacksaw and 2 Roddy....so the case layout changed to those two in the rear and Hogan and Warrior in front.

I have found several cases now in Walmart that have had John Cena and a Bella Twin on top as well as Andre in bottom. Been burnt to many times lately to trust the layout anymore :-(

I wonder if this is some sort of running change with the mini layouts lately. Seems a lot of folks at coming upon apparently fresh cases with layouts different than what's come to be somewhat commonly known. Of course, unless you actually see the store employee or vendor unwrap and stock the case, there's no way to know if someone hasn't messed with it or if someone put two partial cases together into one.

This is true. However I think Funko is onto us and starting to mix things up at the factory.

Wouldn't surprise me. And honestly, I wouldn't even mind that at all except that they also seem to be doing more 1/6 figures, upping the odds that people who want a full set end up with three, four, or even more of the same figure that everyone else has, preventing trades and sales. I get that it means more profit for Funko and Funko retailers, but it's such a waste of plastic and so very frustrating. I don't mind the rare figures, even though they're hard to get, but there should never be less than 1/12 in a 12 figure case.

Since the cases are getting mixed up in some way or another maybe collections can be completed by gauging weight? For me the Bellas were the lightest, followed by Cena, Sheik, Hogan, Bryant, Rock, Warrior, Undertaker, Andre, and Flair. Thoughts? I don't have Piper, Macho Man, Hacksaw, or George Steele to compare so I'm not sure where they would fall in comparison.
