How many pops do you have ?

Hi all I'm new to the forum . I was just wondering how many pops do the average pop collector have. My count is around 800-900. Im really running out of room to put them since I'm a inbox collector. Also I'm on vacation and need to move #50+ pops on the plane any ideas ? Is it OK to unfold the boxes .will it damage them ?

I have about 500 pops and another 200 other Funko items.. around 750 I think of everything total? Honestly not sure how to help you other then get a really safe suitcase that won't get squished in flight. Hard case I mean, and pack them well. I'm in an box collector as well (except John Snow is on the Iron Thrown at the moment, but that's what needs to happen anyways), but totally get your worries.. good luck!

I only have 25 atm. I started collecting a few years ago, but didn't become extremely interested in Pops until this year. My focus is on Star Wars, Marvel, and Game of Thrones, but have a few others as well.

You honestly might be better off shipping that many pops than deal with check in fees.
I am a little bias on this but I would recommend FedEx. They can pack it for you or even double box it for you. It might even cost less than paying check in fees..

Also to answer your question I have about 278 pops.

If you are going to unfold and flatten the boxes and don't want to damage the boxes then put a butter knife, blade facing in away from the cardboard, into the bottom and gently pull down on it. Take the knife out and do it to the other side. You can safely take the plastic insert and pop out without damaging it and then just do the same thing to the top flap.

I thought of that as well. But unfortunately it will be traveling internationally. If customs were to charge me it would be very costly.

I think the best way is bubble wrapping them out of the box and then hoping they will fit in a carry on bag . If not a suitcase with clothing so they don't get beat around or smashed . As for the boxes I was thinking of putting the boxes unfolded and putting them together. After that I would take cardboard bug enough that it covers all sided and placing more cardboard on the sides to make a box. Then I would carry them in my backpack.

As for collecting I don't really buy the more expensive pops like photos or Freddy's. I have recently bought the black bolas nicol pop and tossakan gitd pops.

At the moment I have 215 Pops, a handful of Wobblers, Dorbz and Mystery Minis, 1 HIkari and 1 Vinyl Idolz.

I wish I had more money, and more space.

I display everything out of box too, they are much better that way.

No, it won't damage them. I've read that some people save space by unfolding their boxes and then unfolding and stacking the inserts. If you do this just make sure to put a tag on each insert identifying it as they are very difficult to tell apart but each one is just a little different than the others. The inserts are specific to each Pop.
