I got a laugh out of our next week roto ad. There is a picture of Spiderman 2099 for 9.99 advertisement. Why they advertise for things that are two years old, I will never know. They do it with our seasonal stuff all the time. Expecting people to assume it's in stock because of that, but surprise, it won't be!

OK, I just found the auction on ebay....it is from that same "hottoys" guy who does "pre-sales" for ridiculous amounts of money on all of the new POPs. He WAS selling these individually before and had a picture with 14 POPs on his auction. NOW he has 32 chase pieces all in one auction? NO WAY...no way this is not an insider job. He knows someone somewhere that is taking the chase pieces out of the cases and setting them aside or SOMETHING. Even if he found 4 chase pieces at each store, that would be 8 stores that he had to get these from....on top of the 20+ he already sold previously.

He probably works at a warehouse and is buying them from there before they get to stores. Happens all the time. You can try pinpointing the DC for that area and try to report on him. I'm not familiar with any other warehouses except for mine nearby.

I remember questioning this and a number of people jumping out and telling me I was wrong to question the confirmations of the almighty corporate buyer, stating there were pictures that were proof that case breakdowns had somehow changed and that I was being judgmental and speculative with my assertions that I doubted this was the case. Glad that some people here have been successful hunting these down, personally I don't really collect based on the value and pretty much have all the "grails" I want for the time being...the Goblin chase would be a great addition, but I'm sure I'll get lucky and trade for it in the future. As I've said before it's INSANE to me that people that live in major cities like NYC or pretty much the whole tri-state area NJ, CT, PA can't find these...

I haven't seen ANY marvel pops in ANY of my many Walgreens for at least 2 weeks, except for rubber chicken deadpool....and I check a lot. 5 stores I checked this week didn't even get deadpool in. Makes me wonder how many more shipments we'll get before the 9 month distribution period is over.

I wouldn't say its IMPOSSIBLE to find 32 of these in the wild...but you have to be VERY diligent with multiple people going to multiple stores within maybe 100 mile radius. Because it's not just THESE 32 that he has...he has sold over 20 already. Not sure of the EXACT number he has sold. But he did have some that sold as "pre-orders" and then he had a picture of 14 of them posted in one auction (he was selling singles at that time). So I mean this guy has had at LEAST 50 of these things, probably pushing more than that...60-75+ I would say. THAT is a stretch. 60+ chase's....come on now.

Internationally, these are a 1:36...PopCultcha and Underground confirmed. State-side these have been showing up as 4 chase pieces per case OR ZERO per case. Distribution has been stupid af on these.

My point was that internationally they are 1:36, so I dont believe for a second they are 1:6 here stateside. HOWEVER, at the same time, these have been showing up 4 per case, etc. Which that in itself is some bs....so can we really say what the ratio is here? 4:8 ....reduced to 1:2 Is that our ratio? For every 1 regular Marcel Walgreens POP, there is 1 Green Goblin Chase? G*ddamn

This is so true with Walgreens exclusives. I had given up on my Walgreens in town after not finding any and getting the cold shoulder all the time. Finally they showed up a few weeks ago at all 3 Walgreens in town and they seem to keep a full set in stock at the one closest to my house. I've found 2 chase goblins there too. Best thing to do in my opinion is just keep checking the Walgreens app maybe once or twice a day and hopefully they will show up!

My stores haven't gotten a second shipment, and most never got any. Still no Deadpool, either. The store closest to me has been great about restocking the NBC Minis as I buy them though.

Welp, my area Walgreens have some Iron Spiders, Taskmasters, GITD Black Suits, but no sign of Green Goblins of any kind. Went to about 15 different locations here and couldn't find any (looking for the metallic Chase of course)

I think that was me, I was sharing a story from my days of working on a loading dock and how entire boxes of product would get diverted from receiving and thrown to the side of the dumpster like garbage that missed the chute and then would get picked up later that night. This was a long time ago when I was a kid but I'm sure such things still take place. The boxes would get logged on the bill of lading as having never been received. Back before eBay, you'd be running an errand and some guy would approach you and tell you that he worked for company XYZ and there was an "overstock" of "______" (fill in the blank- car stereos, home speakers, tools, blenders, whatever) and would you be interested in purchasing some of this overstock at a greatly reduced price. If you were interested he's take you to a car trunk or pickup truck bed to show you his "inventory". Now we have eBay so what was once obviously and overtly shady is not so apparent these days. That said, I have no idea how this guy obtained so many chases, it could have been through legitimate channels. But I doubt it.

I can't tell you how many times this has happened to me...not recently, but in the past. It's been at least a good 10 years since I encountered it, but these guys would be selling home speaker sets, car audio equipment, all kinds of stuff. Almost always in the back of an SUV. The same line applied..."my boss wants me to get rid of overstock" blah blah blah.

I found a full set plus a couple of extras at my Walgreens and most of them were in the Easter aisle right below the BvS toys. If you don't find them in the regular toy aisle it's worth a shot to do a quick walk up that aisle.

prices are starting to drop on eBay I saw, in case any of you are thinking of going that route. Although I've never checked the seasonal isle so will have to do that as well. Was able to get one cheap in a trade but will keep searching for people on here that need one.

I just bought one for someone for $35 on eBay. There are so many on eBay right now and the prices keep going down. Don't think they will hit $30 but they could. After most are sold and Walgreen's inevitably runs out of the chases (if they haven't already) I think the value will double quickly, which will make it harder for people to afford.

Hey i honestly found a total of 4 at retail found. 3x callback list and 1x walk-in down the street. But i am gratefully honored to be lucky for it..

I anxiously commuted an hour for 1 of em at callback.

Shared 2 of em with freinds. Traded 1 for yoda glow, and other for glow black suit spidey + cash...

And bought 2 mint for 50$each ... sitting pretty with lucky #4.

No worries tho, im sure hoverboard variant is in the midst.
