My Walgreens hunt

So I checked online to see if any of the marvel pops from walgreens was in stock near me, found a store that was about an hour away had some in stock it said, so I hoped in the car and tried it. And well... not really any luck, they had 2 venoms and frozen pops... ugh. I did get venom thought, I didnt have him so atleast it wasnt a total fail. He goes nicely with my black suit spidey I got from ebay. But man I was hoping for the goblin, mainly a chase one, but I was the regular one too. Im failr new to collecting pops (I have about 10) and really wanted my first chase. Im not sure if Ill ever get the green goblin

Has happened to me quite a lot, see 10+ In Stock on the tracker...get there...only one Elsa sitting on the shelf...

That's why you call ahead. I called 28 (yes....28!) stores that showed some in stock and not a single one had a Green Goblin. That's absolutely ridiculous. I know Walgreen's exclusives are a pain but 28 stores and nothing....
But don't worry because soon enough there will be so many that they won't be worth it for the flippers and the shelves won't be cleared out as soon as they are put out. These are being restocked for 9 months so you'll find a Green Goblin. Patience is key

I went to my closest Walgreens last night..not a single Pop. I thought I'd look to try to help out some, but was shocked to see absolutely nothing. Not even an Olaf or Elsa.

There are quite a few collectors in my area, though, so things tend to get wiped out fairly quickly. I miss it when I was like the only person that collected. Haha.

Me too. I miss being able to go to my Hot Topic after work and pick up a new exclusive. Now, 20 minutes after my local HT posts a picture on IG saying they got them in the exclusives are all on hold...

For me the trick is just waiting 6 months for the "new" exclusives to show up. For instance, the Riot Shield exclusive was impossible to find when it came out. Now a couple of my stores here have like 30 of them. GITD Yoda was impossible to find at first. Now I've seen them quite a bit. So I imagine by about April or May I'll see Green Goblins and Iron Spiders everywhere I look.

I gotta ask for everyone who has walked into your Walgreens to hunt and has left disappointed. Have you spent an extra 5 minutes to talk to a store manager (hopefully the one who puts in the orders to their DCs), not the cashier or sales associate, and actually asked him/her to start putting more Marvel/SW exclusive POPs on their next store orders? Just saying an extra 5 minutes can go along way. If you have not, I highly recommend you do. Because that is really the best way to see more POPs in your Walgreens store. Unless your Walgreens is already selling exclusive POPs and selling out, there isn't really anyway for the store manager to know there's a product that they could sell more of unless a customer says something. That is all.

I still can't find yoda or boba. I have been to every wg in my city. I asked a manager about them. He said the should be on Thursday. Should I go early in the am? He also said they would be out by the sfternoon.

I am starting to think all the Wal-Greens in my area are not getting the new Spider-man POPs. I have yet to see even one on the shelf:(

Yup, that's my technique now as well. But it requires patience, which it seems is in extremely short supply among Pop collectors Dewbacks, Jabba sets and unmasked Poes all sparked a panic- people were doing the same thing of driving all over town searching for them and getting frustrated when they didn't find them, mainly because they were looking too soon. There are plenty of all of those on store shelves around here now.

I hope that strategy works. Still haven't found Yoda. Will be nice if one day he shows up. I did eventually find a Punisher months after he came out, so fingers crossed.

I wish it worked for everyone. Poe never hit the shelves at any of the 5 Walmarts in the area of Lilburn & Norcross, GA until this day. And no Kylo yet as well. :-(

In another thread, someone told me that one of the warehouses that supplies the walgreens in Chicago never got the exclusives and are substituting deadpools. Personally, I'm hoping it's just a delay. I'd be bummed if we never got them at all.

I found like 3 sets of the exclusives but I only got 1 set for myself wish I could of helped somebody out but not chase green goblins yet

You guys are lucky you can hop in a car and drive to a Walgreens. Living north of the border makes it difficult to buy exclusives only available in the U.S.

I found these at 2 different Walgreens after one said 2-5 in stock and the other said contact store. I just about knocked over the pops when I saw they had the chase in stock. But in the past 3 months of checking the 3 Walgreens in town I've only ever found a venom, punisher and riot shield and those were probably last November. I just found gitd black suit spidey last week and these 4 tonight. Just keep looking people. I gave up on Walgreens, or at least thought I did a long time ago. Persistence pays off with checking the inventory checker.
