Mystery Mini Display!

Great things come in mysterious miniature or pint sized packages, but which great thing will it be? It's all a mystery until you open one. Then the fun begins.

Mystery Mini Display!

Postby Funko_Bandido » Thu Dec 31, 2015 4:54 pm

I've been looking around how you guys display yours mystery minis , taking ideas here and there, so I decided to try it out. Being a fan of them and seeing as the amount is quickly growing, I needed some shelves. I've seen some of you guys buy the IKEA picture ledges and thought those could work out so I went and bought some.

I know these are used for pictures and so there's a lip that somewhat hides the feet of Minis when displayed. I wasn't too crazy about that look so I decided to flip them and add holes on top of the pre-made ones to add support.

Here's the first one up \:D/

I then had an idea to have a tier ledge so I went to Home Depot and bought some wood that I just needed to cut a few inches off and taint to match the color. You paint or taint these up to you :D

So here they are all set up and with the tier ledge on top

And Finally, all the minis on there and I went with the staggered display. There's enough room to have it even higher if you wanted so you could see the full figure in the back or even add 3 tiers.

Also, a very cool idea that I thought about would be that you could add a light strip or some other kind of lighting that would hide behind that "lip" that's now facing downwards. Cool detail you could add to your display.

Just wanted to share what I did. :D

That would be the name. I just found them on the Ikea website. Not a bad price point for them either.

Very cool! I get the previously called Ribba shelves from Ikea which are now called Mosslanda. I'll be getting a bunch of them at tax time and then put my minis etc on the very top shelf where the Pops won't fit. Sucks they will be so high, but not much I can do about it. :D
