Quick Spider-Man Question

Hi, I am fairly new to collecting having only started mid September so I apologise if this is a stupid question.

I recently won a Spider-Man 03 and when I went to add it into my popinabox collection I noticed that it looks very different to the listed picture. So my question is, have there have been 2 different versions of the no 03? I have had a look around but cannot see anything apart from a metallic version and a b&w version which it definitely isn't. The first picture is what seems to be the common version however mine looks like picture 2 which is the only one like it I could find on ebay. It has darker colours, no black paint in the web design and almost a burnt finish on the head. Thanks in advance for any help you can give.

The second picture is what the commons ones ended up looking like. So yours is just like mine and everyone else's. The first image is a stock photo, not the finished product.

Yeah, I've seen them plenty of places and I've held off getting it because I don't like it very much.
That said, I know I'll get it eventually, because I need a regular Spiderman, just bummed that it doesn't look so hot.

The Amazing Spider Man 2 pop is a good alternative since the costume looks a lot like classic Spidey, and he doesn't suffer from the same paint problems. He's starting to get a little pricey though.
