@FunkoNinja, that's actually a cool idea for the lighting for the GITD ones. I may take your idea, put them all in one section, and see how it looks!

Kimchi, something like these http://www.amazon.com/Joygo-5050-Waterproof-Ultraviolet-Fishing/dp/B00NXDYMKU

Thanks! I'll be looking into these

Read the reviews before buying, most of the UV strip LEDs on Amazon are poor quality. Many (maybe all) are not actually UV, they're just purple lights. I scanned the reviews at the above link and at least two people reported the purple coating burning off after a couple of months leaving white lights. I use these for my Pop GITD light boxes:

They're not cheap but they are true UV LED strips and they work fantastic!

You're quite welcome, and wow, what a difference! Nice work! Pops just look so much better when displayed nicely versus stacked up in boxes (no offense to the box folks out there :-) )

PS- is that an older Detolf case? I have two that are in that same finish but I haven't seen them available for years. I think they just have the white and black/brown now.

Yes, I came across the reviews last night that the UV was wearing away after a short time. Ahh yes, superbrightleds.com is a site I bought from a bunch when I was hooking up my car a few years back. I think I put them in my spam folder a while back. Time to un-spam them and wait for the next coupon to come across! Thanks, Tres! I'll keep you posted as I make moves.

Hi guys! Haven't posted too much recently but I thought this would be fun. This setup was inspired by other posts on this forum, so thank you! I love seeing all of your collection/displays.

I finally got the chance to set up these shelves, I collected and displayed in box for the longest time. Thought I'd share my setup, I'm really diggin' how much colour there is! It's not organized perfectly and I still don't really know what I'm doing with the oversized pops on top, but it's a lot nicer than it was before!

Thanks! If anyone understands, I know it's you! lol Speaking of, and I'm positive you've been asked this before, can you link me to the UV strips you use? I think I want to make a shelf on the next cabinet a glow one and the lights you use look awesome! :)

Sure, no problem! This is the one I use:

https://www.superbrightleds.com/moreinf ... 1465/4344/

Unfortunately it is not cheap, but it works really well. If you're just powering the one strip then I use one of these (set to 12v), it is 15.6 watts:

http://www.walmart.com/ip/PowerLine-130 ... t/16778839

Would love to see pics of your project after you finish it! :-)

EDIT- I should have clarified a bit on the above- the UV LED strips draw around 4 watts per foot. What I should have said above is if you are running a single 39.4" strip of theirs then that is 12 watts. The Walmart power supply I linked is 1300mah which converts to 15.6 watts. If you're running more strips, or combining with white strips (or any other color) then you have to calculate the watt draw of each strip and add them all together to find your minimum transformer size. If you need a bigger transformer I use these off of Amazon and they've been great performers:

36 watts:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00DKS ... ge_o04_s00

72 watts:
http://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B00K71 ... ge_o07_s01

I use the 36 watt transformer to power a single Detolf case (16' of white LEDS) and the 72 watt to power two cases.

If you need any help calculating this, feel free to send me a private message!

Man, so many of these displays make my jealous. Right now I only have 8 ribba shelves from Ikea, which have been discontinued. Now there are Mosslanda shelves in their place, but I don't have the time or funds to get to the store(since you can't order online for some reason).

I wish I had the room for large displays that go on the floor with glass doors etc, maybe someday. In the meantime I'll just keep hopping on here and being jealous of you all! haha.
