No, Walgreens' toy buyer (Steve Anne, aka the guy who's twitter page is at the other end of that link in the first post) is a HUGE nerd/toy collector himself and has made it his personal mission to make Walgreens a destination for toy collectors.

In the last couple years they've had exclusives from not only Pops, but also Star Wars Black, Marvel Legends, Walking Dead, HALO, Assassin's Creed, Minimates, Dr Who and probably a few other lines I'm forgetting at the moment.

Haha give me a shout if there's any you need when they come out. The Marvel/Star Wars exclusives are still available in a lot of stores here. Was in Forbidden Planet yesterday and they had all the SW ones

But it's actually a DISTRIBUTION problem. There are over 8200 Walgreens locations and only 650 Hot Topic locations. If Walgreens could actually get plenty of product to every location, the argument for a "wide release" wouldn't exist. I'm all for availability to everyone which is what HT has either through brick-and-mortar storefronts or their virtual storefront. A lot of hostility wouldn't exist if Walgreens would offer their exclusives online.

Me personally, I'm really happy the way things are now. Distribution isn't a problem here, plus they're always readily available from online stores like Popcultcha if you don't live near a multitude of Walgreens.

Aren't you happy that the Walgreens' toy buyer said they're working on a better way to do sales online? He said its difficult because all their orders come in assortments, so doing individual sales online as it is is very difficult for a chain as large as Walgreens is. Target, Walmart, and even Toys R Us all have the same problem. I'm extremely encouraged that they're even taking the time to address the issue.

soo the repaint and remold? are they are being repainted like elsa from frozen and being remolded like else from frozen then?

They say they are restocking them but restocking them where exactly? certainly not in their walgreens stores, are they restocking their warehouse?? One chose trashcan they have been putting 80% of their pop stock in? Are they restocking the chips?

Well, that's good for those who have been able to find all four. There are around 25 Walgreens around Pittsburgh. Maybe half have some Star Wars Pops. Exactly one has any Marvel Pops, which is to say they have a Punisher Pop that's been there for a while now. For those of us still trying to track down some of them, this is a painful change. ](*,)

I have a really strong feeling the repaint will be Thunderbolts Punisher.

He's the only one that's been super easy for most people to find, so he seems like the best choice to pull out of the new shipments.

I don't know how I feel. I got lucky with my local Walgreens for 3 of 4 Marvel (Missing Black Suit Spiderman).
But no Star Wars ones (though in their defense it did take them a while to get the Marvel ones in)

I hope it's Iron Spider but at the same time I dont

Everything on this thread is speculation thus far. I just have been following spidermen after Amos did these prints and as emcee said, miles Morales was the ? one. So only one left, they could have dissapaproved his design due to it needing a new mold.

Alright sooo these might be a little tricky.
The WIC Number is 378387 for every single UPC, which happens to be the pre-exsisting WIC for the original 4 Marvel exclusives. Meaning if a store has 20 Punishers on their Shelf like mine does, they won't be auto-ordered for the new ones until the old sell out. Also if a warehouse happens to have old stock of the first waves, they will probably be what comes in if manually ordered until the warehouse is out.
I just looked into what my store is getting, and there is an automated order for just 2 and it was scheduled to be here 9/11. So not sure, maybe next week they will start shipping.

CONFIRMED FATCS SO FAR:

-Walgreens is getting 4 new exclusive Marvel Pops.
-3 of those 4 are completely new and due out in early 2016
-the 4th is a repaint of one of their first four Marvel exclusives and due to be shipped out next month with a restock of the other 3 original exclusives.
-We've seen a pic of the top of the boxes of numbers 106 & 107. 106 is the repaint with a 'Marvel' logo on top of the box. 107 is a new release with 'Spider-Man' on top of the box where the Marvel logo normally is.

If 106 is the repaint, the top of the box is the same as the top of the Venom box....the others are completely different. So could 106 be some sort of Carnage/Anti-Venom variant?

Would a repaint of Venom not be Venom anymore? Unless, GITD counts as a repaint, does it? I was thinking they'd bring the same Venom out (or GITD) because people (who passed or gave up before) would want him now that Carnage and Anti-Venom are coming. I don't see what could be done to repaint Venom while keeping him as just Venom. Maybe the repaint is a new character.

Sorry I should have been more specific. I was just wondering specifically if the Iron Spider graphic was meant to be speculation or a confirmation.

If it's more Spiders, I'm totally fine with leaving the Walgreens struggle well alone! Haha. Hopefully they'll release Doc Ock, Green Goblin, etc. in stores so they can put something much better in my MCC box next month
