Papal Bobblehead is Back?

Toy Tokyo posted that tomorrow they'll be selling the Pope Francis bobbleheads in-store and that they'll be on their website soon thereafter. I heard from multiple people that the Pope Francis line got canned, what gives?

The Funko name doesn't appear on the box or bottom of bobble head.

I got one a while back. I like him but he's not quite Funkoized.

I haven't heard anymore about the Pop Pope since it was first banished.

I might pass on it, to be honest. It's silly but if it's a non-Funko item I feel kind of weird adding it to my Funko collection if the Pop or Hikari ever saw the light of day I think I'd have to jump on those, but that sounds unlikely at this point.

I didn't take it out of the box, don't know if I ever will, I have no reason to own it honestly...the non funko-ness of it doesn't bug me, I also love mindstyle as a separate entity so I feel like i am supporting them.

I wanted that Pope POP so bad as soon as I saw it was announced, but wasn't it rumored to be an extremely small release as well...for some reason I recall 250-500 pieces only??? Come on Funko...capitalize on Francis being in the USA right now!! :-P
