First of all Lego has a Quicksilver, Hot Toys has 2 Quicksilvers. and Marvel themselves own all Merchandising rights! for every movie, Fox, Sony, Disney anyone...
If he doesn't show up, and Bard didn't either. might as well never put my faith in Funko again. I couldn't be angrier right now.
I know ya'll at Funko care about every fan, and i know you want to please everyone. But this just crosses the line for me
You think Funko makes the decisions on what Funko releases, that's cute. I'm sure you hated AoU because Tony created Ultron right? You know Civil War will also suck because key characters are over at other studios. Remember what makes our world turn...
Hah,

And yes, most of the time they do make decisions about what they release, remember Bard the bowman? I recon they'd have the license for Quicksilver because some other toy company's have it too.
EDIT: And what does the movie part even have to do with anything?

I think Winter Soldier was the best movie so far. It was like a 70's era spy thriller. It was fantastic. The story and directing blew AoU out of the water. I liked AoU, don't get me wrong. I like all of the Marvel movies, but as far as quality goes, AoU was a mess. All kinds of things were cut and it was obvious. It tried to do too much. It could have been a 6 hour movie.
And Marvel doesn't need the X-Men for any of their movies to be good. Kevin Feige and his team is doing just fine with every other character that isn't in X-Men or Fantastic Four.
As far as the new Collector Corps box, I'm excited. I hope the Pop figure is as good as the last two.

I updated the front basically stating that the SDCC exclusives will be out in a few days. I leave first thing in the morning so my lurking/posting will drop significantly until I get back. Good luck on your all's hunt for these exclusives.

Owhh i don't agree on that, i really didn't enjoy the winter soldier that much. It was so boring like half of the movie time

I would be happy if they made Old Man Logan the Pop in the Secret Wars box, but I know that won't happen. So difficult to get the Wolverine Pops that aren't X-Men and X-Force, I need more of him!
Avengers>Guardians>Winter Solider>AoU...in my opinion.

This is my first time trying to get SDCC exclusives. If that is the general price range, I'm out.
Here is hoping that is not the average price on the internet for these things.
They are marking them up since they wont be getting as many as they use too. They are using "market price" and not the sale price.
Ah. Ok.
Thanks for the info.
You'll be able to snag Capt, Ant-Man at B&N and then Rocket/Groot at HT on Thursday (July 9)
Grinning Ultron and Deadpool Truck I'm not sure anywhere else.
Rocket and groot are on july 9th as well?

Ok, so here's some more info on Quicksilver... he is the casualty of a licensing issue. Yes Marvel owns the right, but there is something going on with Fox.
Hot Toys debuted their lineup tonight from AoU and Maria Hill, Mark 45 and some Ultron Bots are the only new ones we haven't seen. It was confirmed that Quicksilver may show up still, but is in a license battle. Hot Toys does have a stand for him and intended to make him though.
Which means, the same issue for a Funko Pop! of him. So honestly, I wouldn't get our hopes up of seeing Quicksilver anytime soon for anything else besides Lego. But still has a chance of showing up.

I got Blackout Ant-Man, Rocket with baby Groot, and Unmasked Cap online. I couldn't pull the trigger on the Deadpool Truck. I already have the regular version and $36 for a different color doesn't seem worth it to me. I'll live.

I'm glad I didn't have to go to the store. My Hot Topic is usually busy and it's tiny.
I also need the Grinning Ultron. I read on Facebook that he is in an another upcoming wave, but I don't know how true that is.
You haven't had any luck on Target.com with the yellow DareDevil? That's how I got mine. But the box was damaged, so watch out.

Got to my B&N at 9:02 and they were sold out of Capt. I live in a small town so I didn't expect any issues
- I grabbed AntMan.
So I learned my lesson and got to HT 15 min early and was 4th in line and got my Rocket w/Groot.
Was able to order Capt online though at B&N.com so that worked out. He's sold out there now though.

I read on Facebook that it will be coming in another SDCC wave. But no one has any official info on it.
Maybe Hot Topic or Amazon will get it. I guess we will just have to wait and see.

That sucks. I didn't realize that was happening.
Were they $25 like the others I'm looking at on their site? That seems a bit much to pay for a grin.
I'd rather save that money and buy a spare Black out Ant-Man. My local B&N have some spares.

I was at SDCC and walked away with nothing. Funko by far was the most poorly ran of any booth. I have never been treated so terrible in my life. It was so bad I'm considering stopping collecting.
That being said I'm still wondering aimlessly thought the internet looking for the Marvel exclusives, but it feels so shallow as the heart of it all is just gone. I hate how Gemini is doing theres this year. I've missed the ones on there as well.

That's a shame. I guess when you get to be hugely popular, you don't have to treat people well.
My local Barnes and Noble has plenty of Black-out Ant-Man figures if you need one. They ran out of Unmasked Caps. PM me if you want to talk about it.

I was not a fan of how the line was handled, but I would not entirely put that on Funko. For me, the "rudeness" came directly from the event center staff, not from Funko people. I am interested in hearing how you were treated terrible though. I certainly hope it was not a person in the Funko staff.

Re: Marvel POP! Updates Thread 2015 (Updated July 7th)
I'm pretty sure it was the Funko staff as a few of them came from the back where they kept their inventory, and I saw some of the same people each day. Each day I was constantly told the line was full. No matter how many times I showed up I got "sorry the line is full come back later". I would ask if there is an estimated time just to always be told "I don't know, whenever we feel like opening it back up again", I got this exact sentence twice. I'm being told this as I watch other people go by and line up. Grrrr. On the first day I was actually backed up by staff when all I was doing was trying to take a picture of the Hulkbuster and talk to Collector Corps. Really? I'm not even getting in line and you are physically moving into me so I can go away. At the end of both Thursday and Friday I walked up at the exact moment when they decided to close the booth. As I'm standing there I can see the Deadpool Truck and Rocket with Groot. Woohoo some of what I want is still there! The first day it closed early I was stopped from getting in line because they closed. I told the guy some of the items I want I can see them right there and I got shut down. I am literally trying to give you money and you said no. The second day was essentially the same thing except the response I got back was "Well too bad come back tomorrow". Telling me too bad really upset me. The last day I could get in was Saturday. Back to the same grind of lines not open. Halfway through the day I got denied access to the line because I didn't have a ticket. Wait what? What ticket? The person straight told me I need a ticket to get in line. When the hell did this happen? The other days people just walked up like nothing. I asked where to get them and all he told me was I should have gotten there earlier. Omg can people stop giving me smartass remarks. It was after this I finally gave up on the Funko booth.
I understand the chaos that is SDCC. I understand there will be a lot of rude people. I even understand that I might have been the most unlucky person at this booth. But what I find unacceptable was the sheer rudeness I was given with all the snooty remarks, physically being moved into by staff so I can leave, and the switching to a ticket system on Saturday which I don't even know if this was true. I had a great time at SDCC, but a miserable experience at the Funko booth.
Funko for future SDCCs need to switch to a ticket system like Hasbro and Lego do, or continue with the first come first serve line, but do what Marvel was doing. Marvel would cap the line, and say come back at this time. No matter how small the line got the line would not open until that time came around. I was able to leave, do my thing, and come back around the time they said and got in line. I at least I got the majority of the really cool Marvel pins. I'm only missing two from the blind box set (Black Panther and Captain America).
And yes I completely agree the majority of the rudeness came from the even center staff, but this was Con wide and not just centrally located near the Funko area. One employee actually got in my face while I was trying to pass by the WB booth during a signing. I didn't care for who was signing, but it was so full of people that it became hard to pass through. He got in my face saying "What did I just say? I told you keep moving". I promptly told him off, but is was basically in a harsher way saying I'm trying to.

That really sucks. Knowing that attendees are getting frustrated with the booth situation, one would think that a little more tact would be in order. i get that the same questions are being asked over and over by hundreds of people, but that is not an excuse to be rude or snippy to a potential customer. As someone that works in CS, I deal with severe rudeness on the daily, but suck it up and be as cordial as I can.
Honestly, I would give Funko a pass on this one. Let them learn from the experience and the feedback already given. If it continues to be a horrible experience, I would not blame you to pack it up and no longer collect.

That sucks. I can't imagine paying hundreds (maybe thousands) of dollars to travel and have an attraction on my list that I couldn't access. You would think with something as big as Comic Con, they would know how to accomodate for thousands of people fairly and safely. I've gone to PAX a number of times which is moreso for video games, but they do planning for line-ups and traffic flow very well. I don't really have any other conventions to compare it to, but I always have a good time and don't really miss out on anything that I don't already expect to miss because of line ups for hardcore fans. Before this forum, if I had an SDCC badge I'd have thought having a badge entitles me to going to any booth I wanted to.

That's so awful. Spending all that $$$ just to get in and then you get the 'round-around for days? I would be so mad. And especially when you factor in Gemini this year. I get the random drop time method ensures it's the most efficient and fair way, but a little communication on restocking opportunities or something would go a long way.
I'm sorry for your horrible experience, man. That sounds like an absolute nightmare.
