Custom Pop Boxes

So I think I've come pretty obsessive with Pop figures now, I was looking on custom Pop figures and I saw a custom Megaman and Zelda and was wondering how to get these custom boxes made and how they made the custom shapes of them? I was thinking about doing a bunch of figures or at least try

Making custom boxes is not difficult, just time consuming. I tore apart a box and scanned it, then in photoshop changed it the way I wanted, hand drew the "cartoon" version for the box and used graphics from websites etc. and just pasted the pieces over top the existing ones on separate layers to make sure everything lined up. Then just printed it on high gloss paper cut the pieces and pasted them onto a thin cardboard template that I cut out. Folded it and ha a box. I wish I could just print directly on the cardboard on a piece big enough to make the whole box in one piece, but my boxes have seems. You can not tell unless you really look for them, but they are there.

i've been thinking about attempting this myself and was wondering how hard it is to get the right sized plastic insert for a custom Pop.

I didn't necro the topic but I did notice that. LakeBender hasn't posted in close to a year, just wanted to give props. but since it was brought back I figured I'd throw out the question to anyone.

I've looked a couple pages into the customs thread but nobody is really talking about the inserts so I was curious what they were using. i'm guessing it's from the donor Pop but you never know.
