Is my Hot Topic the only one who raised prices on POPs?

I'm sorry but $15 buck is too much, I was okay with $12 but $15 is too much when there are cheaper prices right next door.. [-(

I was just at 2 in Vegas the other day and they were all $12.50 still. Didn't see any that were $15

Unmasked Deathstroke is $15 at HT and the previous E3PO was $15.50 at HT in Vegas

Certain exclusives have always been priced higher. Off the top of my head, flocked Simba, as well as GITD Storm and Metallic Unmasked Captain America from Comicaze were all $15.50 when I saw them in stores. I imagine any SDCC Pops they get will be the same way.

The toy store I work in, we just had to raise our prices to $14 CANADIAN (they used to be $12). $15 US is definitely pretty steep.

Only time I've paid $15 for a Pop at Hot Topic was for E-3PO. Already hate the $12.50 prices but since they get so many exclusives it makes sense to just put them all at the same price.

As others have already said, they have always charged more for special pieces, like con exclusives and flocked exclusives. The Castiel with wings was also $15 I believe. It still doesn't make much of a difference with their constant BOGO sales, hot cash, 15% ht+1 coupons, and then there's almost always a coupon code to use online for $10 off of $50 on top off the 20% off, so I have no problem buying their pops lol

It seems every hot topic I walk into has a never ending sale t buy 1 get the second at 50% off. 12.50 across the board still.

I agree! It is a little annoying though when you go to Walmart and see Pops for $8 each and then go to HT where it's $12 or more. But as long as you use those codes, coupons or go on the BOGO days it comes out to be sometimes cheaper! Gotta love that Hot cash! I can't wait to spend it all! Haha

arent they sometimes 10? When hot cash is not going on? And they raise it up to 12 when hot cash is going on?
Also picked up three who pops the other day (hot cash being given out) and my ticket said 12 for each but underneath they each said -4... Total was like 27...

Hot topic nearest me has changed from BOGO 50% off to BOGO 30% off. Not a huge difference but still more. Afaik Pops! are still 12.50 except for Con exclusives which are usually ~$15.00.

But Winged Castiel was $14.50 i think.
The Hot Topic manager said he thought it was because the "wings" on Castiel were heavier..

Hmm when I got my Coronation Elsa from HT the exclive one I pay 12.50 for here. I was going to bye some mystery Transformers figures not Funko and when I ask them how I use my 15% discount send I never done it before. They told me how it works and when I was going to use it it didn't take off the 15% so they try to figure out why it didn't work and when they found out why it was because it only last for a month and I was late by 7 days. So I didn't get the Transformers.

If it's a Pop I can get anywhere else. I don't buy it for $12.50 without Hot Cash. If it's $15 I usually have no choice because its some HT/con exclusive.

I was in Hot Topic the other day because I wanted unmasked deathstroke (and only him) and when I asked why the F he was so expensivse they said it was because HT is going to start pricing based off of projected demand? And since the show is "so popular now" people will buy him. To which I responed "Well not me! Bye!"
To have him next to winged Cas was a joke because in my store Cas js $14.50 so for a little more money you get a not as complex pop.
Also for those saying that ts still okay because of sales and hot cash, some of us can only budget for maybe one or two a month

I checked at my HT in Ontario, Ca and the pops were $12.50 but my mom did say the Castiel w/ wings had been higher when she bought him.

I bought the Dare Devil exclusive and he was $12.50 and then I bought the Deathstroke unmasked exclusive and he was $15. Not really sure why he is more (had to get him since I missed out on the unmasked Deathstroke - PX exclusive) since all their other exclusives are $12.50. My HT is doing the buy one and get one 50% and then on top of that if you buy 3 pops you get the 4th one free (employee wasn't sure how long promotion would be running).

Yea not a fan of this price increase either. It just sucks when you can only get certain pops there though. Unless it's Star Wars or GOT I've decided not to buy them that high.

I was just there. 14.50 for Castiel and $15 for Unmasked Deathstroke.

I wouldn't mind paying that much for the Hot Topic Exclusives if they dropped the price of common Pops down to the normal $10 though.

HT Expert, Hot Topic prices some exclusives as 15.50 instead of 12.50. Many of the Con Exclusives are usually 15.50.

I stopped by Hot Topic to buy a co-worker a Pop and ended up buying unmasked Deathstroke for myself. I didn't realize the price difference till the cashier gave the register a strange look and checked the price at the bottom of the box. Apparently unmasked Deathstroke was $15. I asked him why the difference and he said he had no idea. That there was actually a few others that were $15 as well, but he had no idea why only certain pieces were higher. Maybe they just decided to raise the prices of the exclusives. They probably figure people are still going to buy them. Or maybe it was to deter one person from wanting to buy all the exclusives out?

The increase in price is really not cool on HT part IMO but its not that crazy of a jump in cost. Still not happy about it though!

Think that's frustrating. The two HTs in my area are testing sites for promos (that are crappy). i.e. They tried taking Funko off BOGO at both of them for a short while. The one up north BOGO is only 30% off instead of 50% off, and it's been that way for a few months up there so I only go to the one down south now (and worry one day their BOGO will switch to the 30% too).

Hot topic generally has prices marked way higher than most places that order in bulk like them. I'd understand that price from a mom & pop shop who doesn't get as good as a discount because they only order a few at a time.... But when you order hundreds (sometimes thousands) of a particular thing you generally get a better deal and can then afford to sell it for less than your competition. Either HT is getting greedy or Funko stopped giving them a bulk discount lol

My HT is always at 12.50, but for exclusives which are 14.99. But then they are "on sale" for buy one get 50% almost all the time and the website runs them for $10 almost all the time as well.

Besides HMV in Canada selling a select few old ones for $10, all the other stores the cheapest you can get them is $15 here an up to $18 for normal's at comic shops.
