These are gonna be fun to hunt! I only have 2 Walgreens Exclusives (Venom and Punisher) which weren't that difficult to find, but still pretty sweet once I got them. As for the other 2, I probably won't buy 'em. But depending on what these Star Wars exclusives are, I definitely can't wait to start looking!

Hope there is an Astromech Droid! I'm a sucker for the Astromech Droids :P

I already saw that one, but considering the fact that I've never ordered from DST and that they don't have an actual image yet, I'll just wait. I don't like pre-ordering anyways.

There are three Walgreens close to my house (South Bay, LA) and I never saw any of the Marvel exclusives. By now all the managers at those stores see me and dart away because they're sick of me asking if the Marvel Pops will ever come in. Has anyone had any luck in LA area finding those Pops at Walgreens so I can start there for Star Wars ones when they eventually come out. My closest Walgreens still has the same damaged, scribbled on Olaf Pop that's been on their shelf for a year now.

The Walgreens around here never even got the first exclusive in. I've only ever seen maybe one or two commons HANGING from a peg. And it's always Captain America or something like that. The guy at HT asks me when I come in if I ever see them. Haha. The eBay prices for the Spiderman exclusives kind of suck. I'd hate to pay $80 for four Pop!s I know could be sold down the street from me. D:

I will hope out some hope. lol

. And maybe take a vacation somewhere that will carry them?!

I hope I'll be able to find all of them like the Marvel set, but it wasn't easy and I had to call/show up and annoy every employee and manager until I had them. Most of the time I checked they were leaving them in the Manager's office for some flipper that called and wanted them all put back to buy. Let's jope they use a little more sense when distributing these out at Walgreens!

I forgot to mention, my Walgreens only purchases 1 case per week randomized and they do not purchase another box until the ones on the shelf are sold. This screwed me pretty bad because there were 3-4 How To Train Your Dragon Pops that nobody wanted and are still there today!

This makes the counts wrong, so ordering is wrong, etc. Couldn't tell ya how many Walgreen's I walked into and fixed the location.

This would be feasible if they actually knew what they were selling and had any idea how to look them up in the system. I had countless times I've called or showed up at a designated time to see if they arrived in a shipment and the workers give you a blank stare while slowly mouth breathing, all the while the manager is hooking up some flipper in the back who is making boatloads of cash daily on Exclusives from store to store. I wish it was more widely advertised and known so this could be prevented. It's annoying jumping through hoops to find 1 piece to finish a set without setting your wallet out to dry in the sun. :bom:

We have no way to know if a customer is a flipper or not. I personally ordered several cases for members here that I held in the office until they picked them up. Not to say all managers judge correctly, but based on my experience, most of what was ordered manually did go to collectors.

The first scoop on the Walgreen's Exclusives to be released in September!! Boba Fett White Proto...the info came from BobaFettFanclub.com so hopefully its legit. Just thought I'd share.

It's not an unpainted boxed Funko proto.

This proto aligns to the Hasbro Star Wars Black Boba Fett figure proto which was also a Walgreens Exclusive last year. It is an actual 80s Star Wars Lucasfilms proto/original design of Boba Fett to align closer to the normal Stormtrooper. Thankfully he came out in the green colors.

People are still having trouble with the Marvel exclusives? My local stores didn't have any for the longest but within the last couple months have at least restocked with Venom and Punisher. I was able to help a couple collectors here get what they wanted(Venom) I thought it was just a matter of playing the waiting game. I'm not super interested in Star Wars but if my stores get them, I'll be glad to help out!

I am just hoping the Case ratios are 2:2:2:2 so the distro is better than 3:3:1:1, that was brutal!!

So don't have these in my warehouse but I have been ordering them every week so hopefully soon. I will keep you all posted!

This is definitely a must-buy for me. I'm constantly fascinated by the original designs/prototypes of Star Wars characters. It would actually be really rad if they made more Pops that reflected Ralph McQuarrie's original concept art, I'd buy every single one.

For those of you who haven't seen it, here's the original screen test for Boba Fett (wearing his white prototype armor) back in 1978. It's fascinating.

Well, at least the Marvel Pop situation taught me patience. I wish they'd just make a standard release date for these so I can plan a day to hit 5 different Walgreens instead of checking every day.

I'm not sure. While there are frenzied collectors, many managers didn't seem to notice that there were a lot of people hunting for them. Not sure if their corporate people will ever hear about our frustrations or care. I wish they would but currently Walgreens just isn't a big enough Funko retailer to care.
