D@mn Jacob, those elusive Gills ALL lined up... impressive as always and those hand-painted pieces *speechless*

misterjstewart wrote:Rev, I don't know what your talking about. I LOVE the Spastik line. They are the best thing Funko has (had?) going. It's one thing to license a bunch of characters and crank out cutesy toys but original art is by far superior. I wish they would do more. I am hoping that the Hikari line produces more original items (e.g. Ron English Star Skull).

One of the very rarest. Took me three years to find one with the shield.

Flocked Pops RockReverend wrote:There are several piece in the Spastik Line that have a Weird-Ohs or Rat Fink feel to it, that is part of my attraction to it. I am sure both Bill Campbell and Big Daddy Roth along with others like Johnny Ace and Dirty Donny to mention a few were influences to Funko original artist Wilky and Rob Schwartz. They are the main artist that designed the Spastik PlastiK line of all original Funko characters.
I have several tat's that were inspired by Ed Roth/ Dave Deal/ Sonny DePalma/ Von Dutch. It's a shame they've all passed. I grew up with that hot rod culture stuff, love it! I was good friends with Dave Deal for over a decade, right up until he passed away. I still keep in touch with his son. Those guys were all very talented artists but really down-to-earth types too.
