Marvel Secret Wars Pops -New Series

Bleeding Cool news and DisKingdom are both running stories that Funko is making Marvel Secret wars Pops off the new mini series. I'm not a Marvel guy, but I am enjoying Secret Wars. This has a lot of possibilities since it has a ton of characters. :forcelightning:

Funko was announced as a license holder during the initial Marvel Secret Wars announcement. My guess is the next MCC box is themed with Secret Wars.

not really started with secret wars yet (i am letting them build up for a binge read).....but arrgh more to add to the want list DC and Marvel are taking over my collection lol

Hmmm... Are they using the Secret Wars name just to blanket all the various alternate worlds/Battleworlds? Or will it just include those new characters/teams created specifically for Secret Wars? Marvel's doing a pretty bad job of explaining Secret Wars..

It has made sense to me so far. Though I have been reading Avengers and New Avengers which has been leading to this for years now... Either way, Secret Wars Pops! $\:D/$

Starting to think I'll have to cut back on some of my smaller Pop groups, like The Walking Dead and DC, to make sure I have room for Marvel, Star Trek and Doctor Who. Ugh!

2099 looks like it has little to do with SW so far, but I love Captain America's design

Hah I am with you there recently sold my small walking dead collection because was not planning getting anymore, awesome new releases are rolling out fast just now.

Argh, I kinda wish they would make more "classic" characters before branching off like this. I really loved the first series of Marvel and would love to finish my Fantastic Four.

Yeah when secret wars was announce, marvel had said funko was making vinyl figures based off of it. Can't wait to see what it is.

I gotta agree with Tanya on this one. Where are all the regulars for dc and marvel? supergirl!, F4, juggernaut, black atom, black panther, nightcrawler, rogue, gambit etc..

Marvel has done pretty good as far as recent releases, awesome X-Men series, then Venom, Punisher, spidey 2099 and black suit spidey. Don't get me wrong, I am ready for marvel comic pops, but no complaints here.

Can't speak for DC though, seems there is more Arkham pops than comic pops. I am sure that's not case though.

Everyone keeps mentioning F4... That's pretty much dead in Marvel's view until the movie rights go back to them and we get another reboot. I'll be surprised to see a new F4 Pop! in this decade.

I know that he's not involved in Secret Wars at all, but it would be criminal to not release one. Especially after Matt Fraction himself posted this custom on his blog.

I'm not holding my breath, but damn that would look cool on my shelf. Such an enormous Fraction/Aja Hawkeye fan.
