I was told by two different GS employees at two different stores that May 4th is the release date.

My gut tells me we'll see a blue coat variant down the road someday. I mean it would be such an easy variant to do I don't see why they wouldn't.

+1, but IMO pretty close to the black R2; what's funny is that this R2 reminds my a Minion while the black one a Shadow Trooper!

The jacket is actually brown, but it looks blue on film because of the tinting. The Kenner figure was definitely painted blue.

It does look blue in some releases of the film, and Kenner probably used blue to distinguish him from other "Hoth" figures.

Have all of these been confirmed to be Gamestop exclusives? I saw a list floating around and only the R2-B1 had EXCL next to it's name...the other 3 did not.
