AoU Mystery Mini Hulkbuster Theory Test...

Postby Pooly_69 » Thu Apr 16, 2015 5:28 pm

Well I seen on several forums that it was really easy to choose a Hulkbuster from The Age of Ultron Mystery Minis.
So I decided to put the theory to the test at my local Hot Topic. They just goy an AoU Box Set.
So I started to pick up all the boxes checking to see which one was the heaviest. Then I stumbled upon one that felt pretty heavy compared to the rest. So I chose the box went to the cash register to pay. As I was going to pay I said to the
Chusko (Manager of HT) I will bet you that this is a Hulkbuster. He didnt want to bet... LOL! But luckily it was a Hulkbuster.
So if anybody is interested in getting one of these guys Just choose the Heaviest box. You'll Feel the diffrence in the weight compared to the others. Plus it'll look AMAZING next to the 6" Hulkbuster Pop From Collector's Corps.
Hope this helps anybody who is looking to get a Hulkbuster. ;-) ;-)

Makes sense, just hope it's a complete pack of 12 you're picking through and that no-one else got there first... ;) I hear the same is true for the dragons in GOT S2?

Got Hulkbuster at Barnes and Noble the other day, he weighs a TON and was very easily to identify in the box immediately. Same with Marshmallow in the Frozen set when I got him awhile ago.

By far the least mysterious mystery, unbelieveably heavy compared to the rest!

Thanks! That tip worked great. Found the heaviest box at Barnes & Noble and it was a Hulkbuster.

Glad I could help Bro. Were you happy with how he came out? I think he looks great.

In the few minutes I had him before the kids took off with him, I thought he was great. Once I win him back he'll look great on the shelf.

I recently got a case of the Avengers Hot Topic mystery minis. And I can confirm that Hulkbuster is crazy crazy heavy in comparison to every single other mini.

Indeed it's true, Hulkbuster weighs around 100g. He's also massive so you would actually be able to feel his arm through the box. The second heaviest is the Hulk in case anyone is looking for a Hulk & Hulkbuster set.

Spoiler: show
If you're looking for all of them then look for an untouched case. It should get you all 12.

I can't figure out what the fascination is with pulling the Hulkbuster. It's a 1/12 pull, which is a common...I guess if you only wanted the Hulkbuster that is one thing, but people who are trying to get the set always seem to be missing the Hulkbuster.

Hulkbuster was the only figure from this line that I wanted, so for me searching by weight made sense.

I can confirm this I tested it out twice and you feel hulkbuster pushing the sides of the box
