Marvel Bobbleheads...Problematic?

Postby CyberSteak » Tue Mar 17, 2015 10:15 am

Was contemplating picking up some Marvel Mystery Minis and while looking through ebay, noticed a fair bit of decapitated figures. Is this a common problem?

Oh that sucks. Are they easily fixed? Which other series of Mystery Minis have bobbleheads?

Just the marvel ones

I must have been lucky, out of the 60-70 marvel minis I have had, i would say only 5 or so had spring problems, silver surfer and galactus mainly. The two I got from avengers set looks awesome.

Same two had problems for me, plus one thor from base marvel set not avengers.

Ugh. So torn now. They look great. But I don't want to chance putting money into a broken figure. Any fix for them?

The silver surfer seemed like he had a long spring, so I cut spring down and put back on, think I had to do that to a deadpool also.

No problems from the Guardians minis my wife and I have, although I've seen a few Rockets online with their springs stretched out.

There's a plastic piece on the end of the spring. One of mine was fixed by gluing the plastic piece back to the head.

Marvel series:
Three Thors that I got from the Marvel series were broken right out of the box (head off, helmet wing off, and cape off). I glued the latter two and threw out the headless one.

Deadpool has a very long spring.

Hulk won't stand, because of spring glued in head.

Guardians series: (much better quality)

Rocket had a long spring.
