The lack of MLB Pops

Postby Ambiee » Tue Mar 10, 2015 2:43 am

There is an NFL line, a WWE line and a NBA line. There are a few MLB mascot Pops, but why no players? There are many players that should have their own Pops. Miguel Cabrera, Derek Jeter, Mike Trout, David Ortiz, Chris Sale, Buster Posey, my list could go on. I'd really like to see some of these Pops in the future.

To be honest I could totally live with out any players made, I'd buy all Blue jays and select other players but I'd be fine with out. However, even though I'm 90% sure we'll never ever see them, I want a second wave of Mascots so bad. They are with out a doubt my favorite pops.

Same here, man. Consistently great players.

And, c'mon, why no Paws in the mascots line?

I am a huge baseball fan but I don' think I would go for Pops. I really like my McFarlanes and Bobbleheads

I think McFarlane toys has the license to do baseball figures and MLB has the license to do bobbleheads. On top of that, I don't think the sports ones do particularly well.

Would definitely buy a Rizzo and Jon Lester POP. McFarlane does have a Rizzo figure coming out shortly, so no complaints.

They need to try harder with the NFL POPs. Cutler has the only POP from the Bears. You'd have to pay me to take that...

I'd buy a Yadier Molina Pop, but I don't care that much if they never make player Pops. I would, however, like to see more of the mascots. #fredbirdforwave2 ;)

I personally like the mascots better. They have more defining characteristics and they'll never change teams.
Plus I think MLB does enough bobbleheads. Not saying that POP isn't a bad idea for them though.

Yeesh, of all the teams, those two? I guess they'd be ok for customs. ;-)

I second this, Mike! I would love another wave of the mascots. Definitely some of my favorite pops and they are totally underrated. I've got the whole set in my collection and would love to add some more.

Dodgers and Cardinals are my team that is why I choice these players. I'm still mad at the Dodgers for trading Kemp.

I would love pops (and reaction) of both the Mighty Ducks movie series and the cartoon series, but have little to no interest in NHL pops except for Buffalo as that is where my family is from!

More mascots would be cool. There are some nice mascots without the pop treatment that should look cute/amazing.
