Lack of Spider-Man pops?

Is it surprising to anyone else that one of Marvel's most popular characters doesn't have that many pops devoted to his universe? All we have is a few Spideys, Electro and Venom. There's just so many great characters that would make great pops! Green Goblin, Doc Ock, Kraven, Mysterio, Sandman, Mary Jane, Gwen Stacy, Aunt May. In time I'm sure we'll see more but I'm surprised there aren't already a couple of these characters made or even announced.

Anybody with me?

I agree, but give it time. Especially when spidey is swinging around the Marvel movie universe, im sure there will be a nice new sculpt of spidey then

It would be nice to see some other characters out there from the Spiderman storylines ..

You do have Punisher from Spiderman tho... I think it was extremely cool of them to add him with the ones from Walgreens...

I would love a Blade pop too. He appeared in the spiderman cartoon from what I remember.

We did get Symbiote Spidey and Spidey 2099 (even though they were mostly just blank Pops with paint jobs, but whatever), but I completely agree. We could really use an Iron Spider Pop, and a Mary Jane or J. Jonah Jameson Pop would be a blast, too.

I know Funko HEAVILY hinted at a Spider-Gwen Pop coming up soon, so we have that gloriousness to look forward to!

I'm surprised we haven't gotten Green Goblin yet, as we have a Wobbler, a Nodnik, and a Mystery Mini.

Lets be honest tho, if its not the one from the comic books or Amazing Spiderman cartoon then it is not one worth having. Both costumes from the movies sucked badly

it's probably becasue Sony still owns the rights to it and Marvel is just waiting to get him back to make a deal with Funko

I just need Funko to release Spidey without the usual eyes that Pops have. Black spider-man is an excellent example on how I wanted Spiderman pops to look like.

Nope, everything is Kosher with Marvel/Sony. It's Marvel/Fox that has issues, hence no X-Men movie or FF toys.

Still not the issue, though, if we're talking about why they haven't done them yet. Funko has the rights from Marvel, which means it can produce any number of Marvel property Pops, even if they don't necessarily have the movie rights (as seen with the comic book X-men pops).

Funko could go out and produce the rest of the FF in pop form, same with the Spiderman baddies. It just isn't the priority at the moment, I guess. Marvel also doesn't want to really give any attention to properties they don't have control over (which is why we're just NOW getting a large group of X-men pops, as well as only The Thing from FF).

I'm still pulling for a hobgoblin pop! and also a doc ock or better yet a superior spider-man, any version of his costume would be cool im not picky.

Say what you will about the sam rami spider-man movies....Willam Dafoe was a beast in those and gave as good a performance as Heath Ledger did as the joker with out losing his mind and killing him self.

I was hoping for a full spidey themed series like the x-men series, but 4 spidey related pops not bad, I wanted black suit for the longest, blew my mind he didn't get made sooner. Happy to have now though!

With how popular Spider-Gwen is and her new comic book I would love to see that one.
I think it would really stand out since she's mostly white and blank with the pinkish blue highlights

Tops for me would be Miles Morales, Spider-Gwen, and probably a couple of the (comic book version) villains like Doc Ock, the Goblins, Vulture, and Chameleon.

I think you could even argue that Marvel will not license anymore Fantastic Four to Funko. They've effectively pulled everything Fantastic Four from store shelves. Additionally, you'll continue to see X-Men Pops, but probably only comic representations. Marvel is not playing nice with Fox...
