Next Wave of Horror Pops?
Funko loves horror movies almost as much as we do, and their passion for the genre shows. From gritty slasher flicks to classic Universal monster titles, Funko has been covering the entire surface of horror really well. With Count Orlok from Nosferatu and Pinhead from Hellraiser recently shown off at the Toy Fair, do you think they'll be part of a new wave of Horror Pops? If so, who else would you like to see? Personally, I'd love to see Funko give the Pop treatment to...
1.) The Invisible Man: I was incredibly shocked and disappointed when the Universal Classic Horror Pops showed up and Dr. Jack Griffin wasn't among them. His entire get-up is just as iconic as the likes of Frankenstein and the Gill-Man, and he would've looked phenomenal in Pop form. The fact that we got a ReAction and not a Funko is baffling, and I'm hoping they were just saving him for the next wave.
2.) Quasimodo: While we got Lon Chaney Sr. in the form of the Phantom of the Opera, I think it would also do Funko good to give the man of a thousand faces even more recognition by making a Quasimodo (Hunchback of Notre Dame) Pop...speaking of, the Disney line could also benefit from Pops from the musical version. Such great movies, the both of them.
3.) Gwynplaine (The Man Who Laughs): While a bit of a stretch, and definitely one of the most obscure, The Man Who Laughs is such an influential horror drama, and I'd love to see the tortured main character given the Pop treatment. Though, Funko does love to make Joker Pops, so maybe that's the company's way of saying "We'd love to, really, but we know they wouldn't sell. So here's some Joker Pops, which is close enough."
4.) The Crypt Keeper/Twilight Zone: Seriously, why hasn't Funko jumped on the Tales from the Crypt boat yet, considering their love for nostalgia? While we're at it, why not have a black-and-white Ron Sterling Pop, and a few other notable Twilight Zone characters and monsters? I'd kill for a Pop version of the pig-nosed doctors from "Eye of the Beholder" or Burgess Meredith wearing broken glasses from "Time Enough at Last".
5.) Candyman: I just saw this movie last October, and it's quickly become one of my favorite horror flicks of all time. The Candyman would look so freaking solid in Pop form, with his long jacket and hook hand. Since Funko went as far as to make a Captain Spaulding Pop, I'd be legitimately surprised if they didn't jump at the chance to Popify Candyman. Plus, he'd be the first and only African American Pop in the entire Horror line, which would be saying something.
6.) The Creeper: Ahh, Jeepers Creepers. Frankly, I don't really like the way the Creeper looks in the movies, but I think his scaly grey skin and long, brown duster jacket would look really interesting in Pop form. Maybe even include his wings?
Any others you're hoping for, horror fanatics?

I'd LOVE to see more of the famous zombies... Tarman from Return of the Living Dead, the Cemetery Zombie from NOTLD, Bub from Day, etc. A ton from Dawn like the Hare Krishna, nun, Flyboy Zombified, etc.

Re: Next Wave of Horror Pops?
Hmmm such a wide range to choose from The Feast Trilogy could offer up some great Pop's but probably a bit obscure, and now Pinhead is out more Cenobites would be great, would also love to see some more 1950's Horror/Sci-Fi/Monster pops just off top of my head IT conquerd the world, IT came from outer Space, Collosus of New York, Day the Earth Stood Still etc etc etc and again maybe a bit obscure Yokai Monsters from Japan.
I'll go through my collection of 2000+ Horror Movies and send Funko a full request list
And great idea on the Zombies especially Tarman he ruled.

Oh man, Sweeney Todd and Brundlefly! How could I have forgotten these two??
Also, I'd be insanely surprised if Funko never makes a Norman Bates Pop. His movie practically ushered in the slasher genre.

After NECA and other toy companies had a field day with these last year, I was surprised that Funko didn't jump on the bandwagon...and by that, I mean outside of the NYCC exclusive ReAction figures.

Re: Next Wave of Horror Pops?
For me it would have to be:
An American Werewolf in London
After seeing that mini, I've renewed my hope for a proper werewolf pop from my favourite film. There should be a variant with glowing red/yellow eyes (like my avatar). At a long shot I'd also love to see David and Jack in their puffer jackets with.
Bubba Ho-Tep with The King.
Tucker & Dale vs. Evil
More Stephen King! As has been suggested, the must-haves would be Carrie, Jack Torrance and Cujo...maybe even Church from Pet Semetery or the floating window vamp from Salem's Lot.
I too would also love to see a Hitchcock pop. It's a must!
Also Sinister..."Mr. Boogie"? Do you mean Bagul?

That's a great one! It'd be interesting to see how Funko would go about designing a headless horseman Pop. I'd like to see one based off this design:

While we're talking horror here, flocked Wolf Man variant.
We have GitD Frankenstein, his bride, and the Gill-Man, and a metallic Gill-Man. I think since these variants of classic Universal monsters are selling so well, it SHOULD only be a matter of time before we see a flocked Larry Talbot.
I'm a huge Wolf Man fanatic, and I'd buy it in a heartbeat, is all I'm saying...
