Avengers Iron man (1st series) vs. Ironman 3 Movie Iron man

So I've decided to start collecting Iron man suits and just shelled out 22.50 for the Iron man 3 Mark 42 from eBay. My question is if the Avengers Iron man is the same as the IM3 Mark 42 suit, just a paint variant? Or is it a totally different suit all together?

They're very similar, but the sculpting is different on the 2 suits. You have to really look at the details of the armor to see any difference.

I like the Iron Man 3 one more but the Avengers one is a little more sought after.

If you're collecting the suits, get them both.

Like everyone has advised different sculpt so if you are wanting to collect suits then i would say you should have both.
