Walgreen Exclusive?

Funko wouldn't have made brand new sculpts for (Venom/Punisher) if they were going to be super rare. These two especially will be with us for a long time to come. That's not even counting all the variants we'll be getting too. lol

Nobody should pay crazy flipper prices on ebay for these.

Shouldn't it be against store policy for Walgreen's employees to stash items & then sell them for an increased profit on ebay or something? Because I've heard of employees at other stores doing similar things for exclusive items (not just funkos). That's messed up.

I don't see any for 100, unless they already sold. I see a Venom with a bid of 30. I find this interesting though, as Arizona stores are supplied by the Southern California warehouse, and only one store has the activity.

well his buy now price is 100 bucks... my gf called the store where they were showing stock from the pic above in queen creek and she said a manger told her some guy came last night and bought all they had on stock late last night

were assuming probably the guy who selling on e-bay is that same guy it does show he is in san tan valley az which is not to far from queen creek so who knows

Just to clarify....Were they all out on display or did he specifically ask to buy all of the ones they had in stock?

I just find it really weird only 1 store has them. All the AZ stores ship out of SoCal, so why wouldnt they all have them? The warehouse pick date for NorCal hasn't changed, it's still the 29th.
I have an extra set, and thought of throwing them on ebay. Does this make me a bad person flipper?

she didnt ask that so I dont know if he just walked in grabbed what was on the shelf or if maybe grabbed what was on shelf AND asked if anymore in back or something

I don't have a problem with any of that. I do have a problem with store employees hoarding exclusive items then flipping them at a 200% increase. Lol.

But at what point do we consider it flipping? I'm an honest person. Does it make me not honest if I have an extra set and want to make a little money off them so I can buy something to go in my collection? I would love to help everyone out and sell for cost, but thats not possible, I only have one extra set.

Agreed on that, I definitely have a problem with employees holding back stock for themselves and flipping.

I've flipped some, but have also looked to purchase for members here at cost for them....It's a lovely balance lol

I can understand that. time = money haha But price gouging and selling a $10-15 pop for 10x of cost sucks.

Personally I order extra. I get what I want for myself, and every week order more until customers stop asking for them. I was able to get in ~30 Boba Fetts with this process so not only did I get mine, I was able to help a lot of people out.

I agree employees shouldn't be holding them to resell, that's just unfair. But I can gaurentee most employees won't know what you're talking about when you all start hunting for these! We aren't a toy store, we can sell you drugs and candy no problem but unless you're a collector, chances are nobody will understand the value.

So if I call or go into my local Walgreens and give them the Walgreens Item Code listed in this thread, they should be able to tell when they'll get a shipment in?

It also appears that one of the listings already on ebay (seller is from California) is for items they don't have yet. Its a pre-order. I think they are doing what some sellers do for SDCC where they sell items they don't have or even have on hold or any guarantee for in hopes of tracking them down and fulfilling orders.

That doesn't alway help. Trust me from experience, like Jambes said, they will most likely look at you like you are crazy. you'd be surprised at how many people don't know what an FP is.

If it helps, talk to a manager rather than a stock person. Management has gray vests. Give them the wic number I posted, and ask them to see when the expected arrival is. If they look at you crazy, say its on the item maintenance screen in Sims. But yes, anyone should be able to do it for you!

Today I went to 3 Walgreens (in Phoenix, AZ) and none had them yet...I did see a Proto Type Boba at one of them (40th Street and Southern), but that was the only exclusive. The stores I checked were at the following intersections: 40th St and Southern, 24th Street and Baseline and 48th Street and Elliot for those that are in the area.

No, I didn't purchase the Boba Fett so it may still be there. I was more using it as a reference that that particular Walgreens does carry exclusive figures in hopes they may get the Funko Pop ones as well. If you are interested in it and not in AZ, it looks like the are instock on the Walgreens website. If you do a search for "Boba Fett" it should pop up.

So I just went into my local Walgreens on lunch. Managed to speak with the Store Manager (John) to have him do a search for me. He was able to bring up the item# and there is nothing at this time for any of the 30+ locations in Southern California. He actually turned the screen towards me to view! He was really helpful so I think I will have a local source to go to when they do start showing up. He also mentioned that store items are labeled basic vs non basic. If his store doesn't get any he will be able to special order them in from another district to see if that works but it is all dependant upon stock.

FYI: He did mention that a person had been calling in everyday sometimes twice for the same details. Do us all a favor and drive to the store or else you risk the chance of them hoarding them in the back or not even wanting to help us collectors out! Face to Face interactions will always beat interacting over the phone.
