Speedy Alkaseltzer Question

Postby jpaskoff » Sun Dec 21, 2014 11:32 pm

Is there any difference between the original and the one with the 75th anniversary sticker? I know there is also a BW one, but from what i can tell the first two have no difference.

Here is what i had in my spreadsheet on this guy.

The word on these is they were promo pieces given to Bayer executives over in Germany to celebrate 75 years of 'plop, plop, fizz.' They're colorful and they read something along the lines of 'Happy Anniversary!' [letsgetwacky.com]; I saw the post in the I Spy Ebay forum so needless to say I had to call my friend Bill! Here's what I know - its' a full color wobbler, says something like Happy Anniversary or words to that effect on the base. 2500 were made for Bayer Exec's only, they're in Germany so we may not see many of them around. Bill was able to get approximately 40 pieces. He said they're $60 each to board members. He's taking orders via phone till they're gone --Cardgame, Jan 19, 2006; 7:51pm

But like Carol said, the base said...

6310

How do you just not love this guy?

Thanks everyone. I was trying to figure out if I should just track down the regular piece, but now it looks like I'm gonna have to find all the variants.

Most of us who have them all bought them from Wild Bill back when he first got them. How can a person not like Speedy? ;-)
