Power Rangers Pop Question
Anyone with any idea if we will ever get the rest of the Power Rangers?
It would be sick to get Green Ranger, Blue Ranger, Black Ranger, and Yellow Ranger to join the gang! And this would be perfect for Unmasked exclusives as well!
I know there have been some people making customs but I am not into customs and would love and definitely buy if Funko makes them!

dont understand why they would only make 3 and not the entire group. i hope they make a 2nd series and eventually even some villains.

Yeah, it would be strange to only make a few and not the rest of the original team.

Re: Power Rangers Pop Question
I thought Funko lost the license to Power Rangers? Or they didn't sell well enough to make a second series?

well the three they made were probably the most popular ones, but I'd have liked all of them, atleast the original group. but now that the first 3 are 'retired', I wouldn't want the rest without them...
I remember somebody saying the reason they couldn't do Green was because Saban or whoever already licensed it out to somebody else for an action figure. That seems weird to me... because Pops aren't action figures, they're stationary figures! :p

Re: Power Rangers Pop Question
I was seriously disappointed when it first came out that Funko had no intention of finishing the Power Ranger line... I was waiting for the BLUE RANGER and, especially, for RITA REPULSA. Rita is still one of my most-wanted figures and it pains me that it's probably never going to happen at this point.

At the very least I hope they make the rest of the team. Just looks weird having Red, Pink, and White displayed without the rest.

Power Rangers, Simpsons, and Watchmen are all lines that probably won't get finished, but we'd like them to.
Whatcha gonna do?

Licensing is a weird thing.
It's the reason why Lego can't do blind bag assortments for their Marvel, DC, and Star Wars figures even though nobody considers Lego figures to be "action figures".
It's the reason why Funko, Kidrobot, and Loyal Subjects can all do blind box mini TMNT figures...but there's a snafu when it comes to Power Rangers vinyl.
It's the reason why we can't get Ghostbusters ReAction figures. Mattel won't make vintage style figures in that scale...but they won't let Funko do it either.
It's all very disappointing, but it is what it is.

Re: Power Rangers Pop Question
Thank you Kevin. That was actually one of the most informative responses I have ever read in a thread. Thank you for educating me a little on how licensing works. We all don't truly understand the terms to the licensing of certain brands and what it entails and what it can limit. Seems like a very interesting process. With that being said, I would have loved a funko Rita Repulsa, Lord Zed (and a goldar but I won't push it). Hopefully, in the future the licensing will permit this to come to fruition. I can't see the sales on these being horrible. By not having the rest of the group (or villains) initially, I think it created an interest, a need...and a hunger for collectors to jump at the chance to add these pieces to their collections.

I for one think sales would be boosted if they had the whole line up, i know I would by them all and i'm crazy for the 6-inch pops so i would love a megazord '^__^ one can wish...

Re: Power Rangers Pop Question
If it doesn't happen around the time of the movie being released, I'd say its probably never going to happen.
There just wouldn't be a better opportunity.

Re: Power Rangers Pop Question
The only other Ranger that I would like to had is Zack. He along with Tommy and Kimberly where the only ones that I really like from the show. I already have Tommy and Kim. It's just to bad Zack will not get made.

Never say never. The rebooted MMPR movie is coming out in 2016 and that could lead to more Funkos

Re: Power Rangers Pop Question
heres hoping... cuz i was really pumped when i heard they were making power ranger pops but the partial team veered me away from it. i hope eventually funko will complete the team either as it is or as the 2016 power ranger movie. in the mean time tho i have my s.h figuarts to keep me company!Tilter wrote:Never say never. I think you're right it seems now the license is owned or leased to loyal subject who has a line of blind box 3 inch figures similar to the classic transformer and gi joe ones they have out now
