Funko SDCC 2014 Exclusives - Updated 7-21-14 on Page 1

I had everything in my cart and went to paypal to CK out and both times Gemini crashed when coming back to the site so i couldn't confirm both times. Once i went back for a third time and it started to tell me items were no longer available and that it wouldn't let me proceed until i take them out the cart i knew it was time to give up. Sucks

I agree with the countdown and that might even have been the case. Issue I ran into was I had them in my cart then could not access the site for 15-20 min to check out. So I would have lost them on the timer too.

No, unfortunately things in the cart on Gemini's site are never safe. That's why on days like these you sometimes have to check out several times. I checked out four times this morning.

I'm 100% with you. Most places give you X amount of time to check out

I agree it should be like a ticketing site, where they have a countdown timer. Not sure if that is easy to implement... even just a warning like "your cart will expire in 5 minutes"

Yep. And even with that in place, there's still a danger when there are a thousand people causing the site to crash..!

Ever shopped Black Friday at the Walmart..? It's insane, and people will take your stuff. Or trample you for it.

I usually have more sense than heading to WalMart on Black Friday..!* Even so, though... I would tentatively allow fights at the shelves, but no pinching from the baskets.

*Although last year we actually did, and it was reasonably relaxed - everyone had stayed at home to get better deals through Amazon price-matching.

Same exact thing happened to my girlfriend and I. It even told us our total and we clicked ok or confirm or whatever. Guess it didn't end up going through.

So now since the site stopped crashing I just grabbed elsa and walter white because I wanted to at least get something. Just sucks that everything I had in my cart besides elsa was gone.

Crash not their fault. Even though it burned me out of GITD Slimer I blame all of you for the crash. LOL. Feverish fan base is hard to prep for.

Last year I got almost every pop I wanted without any issues. I guess each year the popularity just grows and makes it harder

It's not hard to prepare for, but it can be very, very expensive. Really, I expected a fair amount of crashing, what I didn't expect is all these high run pieces selling out in minutes.

i'm totally going to copy you next year Elaine. That was my debate this time. I was worried that if i spent too much time checking out and putting my info in and everything (and taking into consideration all the site crashes), I was worried that by the time I was ready for my next item, it would've been sold out.

might be smarter to just do it that way though.

All the SDCC '14 pops sold by amazon have been taken down. Don't know if they'll be back up before comic con ends, but they'll probably be back up eventually...? Hope my Vincent order goes through!

I saw Jules and Vincent, Walt and Jesse, the despicable me minions, sharknado, billy, bmo and bubblegum... I think that was all that were being sold directly by amazon...a few third party sellers had the luke/wampa pack and flocked ghost (and maybe more) but at absurdly inflated prices - those should be all that's left up by now. I wouldn't be surprised if they don't relist Amazon's stock until after comic con.

after another check, yeah, I found them again. search comic con 2014, not SDCC, and they should show up. No minions I can find anymore but at the last man standing dude.

It was posted in a group by somebody who works at HT... pretty good source but yeah, not the definitive press release or anything that would confirm it for sure.
