Contest Disaster.....

Good luck to everyone who got in and BIG thanks to Brian for having the contest.

Now....for all who are complaining, please consider that even though computers & servers are amazing things, they seriously can only handle so much at a time. While that is much, much more than you and I can handle in our heads, it still has a limit...and unfortunately we hit that tonight. It happens and the best we can do is move on. Unless people want to start donating for server upgrades/replacements, we should all be VERY, VERY grateful to have what we have.

I know the first day guy and the guy that this is their first post and they have been following the boards for quite some time. Even if I didn't know them, I think it would be unfair to shut out someone who might be an avid collector just because they don't like to post on forums.

Most people have participated in the contests throughout the week, stalking the forum all day... 1 hour isn't much of a comparison to that. Some members have barely even slept over the last few days LOL!

p.s. it's a contest for Funatics of this community, that's why people are flaming the people that just joined today. Why would it take a contest of a rare and highly sought after freebie to get you to register to the boards?

. I posted a half dozen times on the last thread without even realizing it because it kept failing on me. That Grey-Scale Freddy is AAaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaamazing!

For anyone complaining. Relax, its a contest for a free giveaway, he doesn't have to do this let alone give away 15+ to us. Regardless who wins its an awesome gesture. I am still amazed on how differently Funko is ran then any other company, its the main reason why I have stuck around collecting their product :cheers:

I think you should have at least a small collection going before you enter a contest...that way you're not just trying to enter to hike prices up on something. Posting amount shouldn't matter...we're all supposed to be collectors here and everyone that's legitimate deserves a chance at the fun too. Just my two cents, if you don't like it then well..sorry ha.

i wish brian would have terms and condition with the giveaway. No ebay selling or you will be fined. He has the names that go with the proto. Ppl are trying to win these for a collection not to sell. What a shame.

I don't mean to be a complainer, all of this really is fair considering the technology being used and the method of the contest.

I just don't agree that this is a very good way to have a contest like this. So many of us simply cannot stalk the forums for hours on end. I just so happened to get cut from work early so I was able to make it here, and even though I was trying to post the technology kept blocking me from even getting a chance at winning. It's like 2 separate contests all together. It's not really fun when you can't even get an entry.

I dunno, I suppose it's just my opinion (and I know that) but with our growing community I think that there should be a few more rules imposed to these contests to at least ensure that some of our more proven members on the boards can at least get the chance to win.

I'm more sorry for those of us that never got an entry at all. I at least got in this afternoon. I didn't win obviously, but I am grateful to have been able to participate at all.

I can say, looking at the names of the people who have already won, it would take a lot for one of these funatics to sell it, it would be one of those "I'm in a bind" situations before they would sell it. Now I don't know about the next few winners, but the wons who have already won are true collectors and will be keeping this one for sure!

I am a new member, joined 2 weeks ago but I have been VERY active in the community and have even already made trades and helped a few members get pieces they needed/wanted. As I understand why veteran members would be upset I also believe that I should have the same chance as any. I am sorry to those who are upset. Even with all the craziness it was still a good time and I send a huge thanks to Brian for the contest as well as all of you for being so kind and welcoming to the new guy from CT. GOOD LUCK ALL!!

Two weeks ago today, I celebrated 14 years of collecting Funko. This is the first time that I've ever qualified for one of these contests.
