Jon, good idea, but the plastic inserts, dont they take up as much space as the box that isn't folded? My boxes take up so much room, they are currently in 4 huge totes and others aren't even put away yet

Excuse me if i sound ignorant, but aren't the plastic inserts specific to the body mold of the character ? If you want to ever sell the item, putting it back in the insert and box, you're going to have to match it to an insert ?

Carol, I was thinking the same thing, the flat boxes is a great idea, but the inserts would be just as difficult to store, to the point where I leave them intact at the moment.

I actually do something similar with my inserts and boxes. They do take up way less space like this. I label mine with a piece of masking tape.

yes, i have to play the matching game... :-/ and i do have limited space.
i probably have more than 50 boxes right there, so it does save space.
plus most of them i don't need, but i save them just in case a box i find in the future is kind of messed up, i can switched the boxes.

Put this bookshelf together to put my books and display my new 9" batman pops, then put some of my new pops that I just recently got. Then decided to put my GFs collection on the bottom so they weren't sitting in a box in my closet.

I don't have very many, so I haven't devoted an elaborate display yet. Pretty simple really.
