Re: Rumors of a Soda wind-down
I am sad about this. I actually liked hunting for chases with the sodas. Sure I ended up with way too many
but it was satisfying opening a can and seeing the chase pog

Think of all the space you'll save with these! No more storage worries.
They are cute and would be easier to store, but I just went to if they fall and get stepped on - they would hurt like a Lego![]()
Man, nothing like stepping on a Lego,

Not looking forward in feeling that pain

I think Dorbz had a longer run, time-wise, but I’d guess that they made more characters as Sodas.

Sad that we never got a Macho Man Soda, but I can take comfort in knowing we got a nice Peanuts set.
The question is whether or not I buy another cooler set at 70% off and try to hit another Chase…

Yup that's true. I remember Dorbz were available for many years while the sodas weren't here that long. They did have more of a variety too.

That would be a shame. I kinda like the Soda aesthetic more than the pops sometimes. Depending on the character.

One of the main reasons it seems is that people cant afford a lot of soda's. Speaking from a international view they cost $30+ down here because of the shipping weight ect make them very unaffordable.
Another reason people think and i think could be a strong contender is because bitty's are outselling them. There cheaper, ezyer to display and also strike the minature market.
If this ends up being true how does it make you feel?
I will Miss the Soda's

Sodas are so collectible. The can artwork is cute and the figures are well designed.

Speaking of 'Sad that we never got'...Cowboy Bebop got 3 of the 4 primary characters in Soda form, but not Jet. I would really like them to make him, if not also Vicious and maybe Julia.

Aw man! One missing core character is always the worst, especially when the main cast is so small. Reminds me of those old Playmates TMNT themed waves where one of the four Turtles was always missing.

It would be cool if these were somehow themed to be a Farewell to Sodas. Maybe Soda Jerk Freddy, Franny and Proto with Closed signs? I don’t know if any other line got a formal chance to say good-bye, so to speak.
