I was wondering that too, but I guess thats their way of encouraging people to buy future drops in order to use their NFTs in future seasons moving forward? :-k

They finally posted the details: https://droppp.io/bloggg/droppp-arcade-season-1/

Pretty cool that they are doing a Top 333 contest that gets a pretty LE333 pop!

Very cool. Congrats to all of those and can't wait to see what they get.

Based on the numbers they have for each rarity, my total points are about 157000. I honestly doubt that would be in the top 333, so I probably won't bother to participate.

Sadly, I definitely can see that happening. The only way I think they could mitigate that is to have a random cutoff time range. Like they say they will take a snapshot within a week timeframe, so it limits people trying to burn at the last minute because they might miss the cutoff.

This is going to be super interesting to see it play out. Getting a Pop limited to 333 is a pretty nice incentive. And I think people are right - this will create a surge in people buying up cheap NFTs now to compete. Then future arms races are going to be really interesting. Especially if they start producing IP based figures as rewards.

I do think the leaderboard has to be transparent for people to really participate - otherwise people will just avoid it largely if they don't know where they stand...

I'm hesitant to use my cards until I review the leaderboard and determine if it's advantageous to compete for a top 200 ranking lol

This exactly. Not worth burning and not qualifying for a prize. Keeping my eye open.

On the Funko Finderz Discord someone (shout out to HotDogVendor if he reads this!) posted a list of the top holders. Now, not every one of those people will participate but safe to assume most will.

The 333rd user has 211,076 points. I transferred all of my extras from Atomic Hub to Droppp and added up the points. It was really easy - I just did a basic formula of =A1*8 and entered the number of commons, then did the same for other levels. You can sort by rarity on Droppp so you see your quantities, and I just plugged those in. The values for the rarities are on the Droppp article about Arcade.

I came in at 179,376 so probably top 500 but nowhere near the Freddy cut off. I used to buy every set and if I still did that I would probably be in the top 200 or so, but I skip more than I buy these days.

Popinstock has downloadable files that you can find yourself in... they clearly delineate where you are. In the "Overall" category I am sitting at #589.. so looks like I will not be burning my NFTs on a pipe dream.

Where do you see that? I only saw the top 100 list.

Edit: found it, you just need to download the list. It hasn't refreshed with the ones I moved over from Atomic Hub yet, but once it does I will be in the 430s.

Do you have a link to this?

Edit: nevermind found it. Sorry about that. I'm top 333 however I don't know if I want to burn all these and later on they release a better arcade redeemable. I can see these becoming quite expensive later on.

I am 437 now but I am not going to buy a ton of commons and all that to try and move up. I will probably do one common so I can get the participation sticker and then buy Freddy on the aftermarket.

I might do the same depending on the burn rate since this will wipe out a big percentage of potential points. Definitely don't want to throw everything at this first one.

I just think you have to have a sizeable buffer from cutoff right before snapshot of leaderboard to be somewhat safe.

So you have to burn your NFTs to get the points? I can't see anyone burning 1:1s, and I know I would not want to burn anything Epic or higher.

I do really love the Freddy prize, though. I used to collect every single royalty (the first one I missed was Steven Universe and that was 30+ drops in I think) and I never sold or burned cards after redemption, but I still don't think I stand a chance of being top 333.

So the one thing to consider this is season 1. Who knows if they actually made more than 333 of this freddy pop meaning it could come back and you might have less competition.

Fun game theory going on here. I have to imagine a good number of people in the top 333 aren’t paying attention. Another chunk aren’t interested. And then others will slow play their assets. So anyone in the top 600-700 may have a chance depending on the actual cost to land in the top ranking.

Season 1 ends on June 17th so I will wait and see before burning. I do want to clear out all my commons, uncommon and rares so may do that right away and see where I'm at

Yah I can see that. Everyone is going to take a wait and see approach and how the leaderboards are going to initially look before making any decisions. Also probably wait a couple of seasons before burning it all in hopes to reach the top of the leaderboard.

Waiting to see what Pugwash or Funkoslayer do and if they splinter their points to different accounts. I doubt anyone will burn 1 of 1's but I've seen crazier things happen.

Thanks for the info on this. Really helpful. As expected - I'm not even close to the top of the leaderboard. Realizing how much over the last year I've just decreased my collection spending overall - not just on Funko related stuff.

Yah I'll definitely be watching on the sidelines and see how this all plays out before making a decision on anything. Maybe it'll payoff to wait in later seasons. :-k
