I think that they will absolutely release this as a normal drop after a certain period of time. In their first announcement on their social medias, Droppp said: "this drop will *initially* be available through the Fan Rewards program". I imagine this is sort of a "trial" run for Droppp and Funko to gauge the interest of more Fan Rewards NFTs.

I think the "initially" just means first, and then they can be sold on the aftermarket after they burn the other 90% that didn't sell

I find it questionable to use reward points on packs with uncertain contents, rather than saving for a guaranteed proto. However, that's just my perspective. Unfortunately, I only have enough points for one pack, insufficient for the Royalty which I want as well

Ridiculous point conversion on these. May get a standard pack just to see if I randomly get something. I definitely can see the Grail being less than 300 pieces.

I like that Funko/Droppp made a small drop (only three redeemables) with a relatively small amount of packs (10,000 standards and 6,000 premiums). It reminds me of April Fools Series 1 (7,500 standards and 7,500 premiums).

Even though these molds don’t interest me personally, it’s fun to see them use their own characters and do an original twist on Valentine’s Day.

All that said, I agree with others that making this an exclusive Fan Rewards drop with 2,000 points for a standard and 6,000 for a premium is gonna make it an extra-hard sell. I do kinda understand the point conversion since 2,000 points can be redeemed for a $10 discount on the website, so maybe they’re thinking 200 points = $1, so a $10 standard pack would be 2,000 points and a $30 premium would be 6,000 points. The main issue is most people don’t have that many points to spend, plus packs aren’t a guarantee for a redeemable.

After looking back on Droppp's website, where it says that this is only available through the Fan Rewards program, I believe that you're right. Such a shame. This probably would have done well had it been a normal drop.

So, I am of two minds about this. I have no problem with them doing it and it’s a good use of points. But I have been saving my points, hoping they would put up one of the Jumbo Chan figures that I missed. They did put up some of the Project Fred figures so it seems possible for Jumbo Chan.

I don’t think it’s fair to say you are paying $200 for a standard pack or $600 for a premium, because you didn’t buy the points. You bought Pops and the points were a bonus. Same as when I buy gas and get rewards points and redeem for Amazon gift cards. But I also don’t buy enough on Funko.com to build the points back up very quickly, so it’s a question of waiting for some possible Jumbo Chan drop that might never happen or take a risk on packs (and how salty I would be if they were dud packs).

I'm gonna buy one standard pack as I never buy off the Funko Shop anymore and see how the market is for these. The redemption numbers may be pretty low but it's like a 1/52 card odds for a redemption.

Seems like a worthwhile gamble if the redemption rate is low and you happen to snag a physical Pop. But it these packs end up becoming available later on in the marketplace, then redeeming points on Funko Shop may very well have been a waste (if you don’t pull anything worthwhile).

Not sure why a lot of people is complaining. Funko gives around 100 points per month and that's around 1200 per year so in 2 years you have atheist 1 standard for free. Basically it's a free pack for being there for Funko since they started the fan reward. Yes it is a gamble but still if you get it from being active then there is nothing to loose

They won't say anything about that unless they are up for a long period of time. If they don't burn packs and wait until they are all sold, then the people who bought them hoping for a burn will be very unhappy I'm sure. I am not giving any points for packs as I would rather use them for anything with better value
