BOF 2024 Sodas!

I like the pirate Freddy and Proto sodas, debating on completing the sets or not. I brought home two from fundays (the metallic is really nice) and am waiting to see the versions in the at home box. Part of me wants to get all the proto variants for Chris.

I have the same debate whether to collect it but I have no more space, so if you are looking to complete the set, I may have 1 or 2 protos to help you out!

I’m kinda surprised that Franny is not out this year during fundays!

After its all said and done, this was something I was surprised at. I was hoping Funko would have thrown in at least one pop or soda for Franny. I love the Freddys already but sometimes Freddy gets lonely and needs his family,

I am suspecting we didn't get her due to the fact that she was introduced later and most of the Fundays pops and soda already been pre planned. I could be wrong but this is my own personnal guess.

ah I think you are right on this, it would definitely take months for their factorys to push out different molds while still making the freddys were already on the list for future fundays. Maybe in the future we will see Franny with the Freddy treatment.

The "metalic" finish in the red pirate proto isnt exaclty metalic, i hope for something better but pretty cool mold

What are your thoughts on this year's BOF Sodas?

Love both the Proto and Freddy in their pirate getup.

Definitely wish we got our first Franny Soda and/or more soda sculpts out of the BOF generally!

Definitely looking forward to the future BOFs with the hopes they will continue to carry sodas!

It hadn't even occurred to me until I read your post that there also was no Franny in the sodas. I wish her first soda HAD been with the BOF, so take the pressure off. Now when her first soda comes around it's going to be a feeding frenzy!

As for the BOF sodas - I thought they were a lot of fun! I briefly had a blue Proto, but a friend literally snatched it out of my box before I realized what I had and 'traded' me his gold Proto. Which is totally fine - I'd told him I'd trade him, it was more than if I'd blinked, I'd have missed the whole thing, it happened so fast!

Definitely hoping I can pick up a few more of the sodas, loved the colors this year! And so loving that the BOF include sodas now!

I am a Freddy Soda collector too, so I managed to get some of this year. Only need 3 of the home boxes and I’m complete.
I was complete with Proto but I will skip these for now.

While all the sodas for the BoF this year are neato, my favorite have to be the blacklight versions! I also somehow managed to pull all Freddy sodas and no proto the dog! I'll need to do some shopping.

I actually love them. They look fantastic. They add an element to collect that isn't something you'd expect. They introduce variety into the collecting chase. Big fan.

I enjoyed having Pirate themed sodas for BOF. I am happy to have gotten the 5000 PC count of Freddy and Proto in their original colors. I also got a black and white of each. I would want the metallic version of both possibly but I am satisfied with the versions I have. I prefer the original color more than the red/green or blacklight versions. I hope they release a pirate Franny in the future to go with the mix.

thank you! trying to reignite my love for the sodas! Hoping funko keeps them limited again, I think it adds to the specialty of what sodas should have been all along, very limited!

It’s really fun when Funko makes Freddy as different characters like they did with the Sodas last year — Freddy as Darth Vader, Freddy as Thor, Freddy as Leonardo, etc. But the downside is when I get a Freddy in my box representing a fandom I don’t collect. As someone who admires but doesn’t collect Sodas, I like the simplicity they brought this year with basically just two Sodas — Pirate Freddy and Pirate Proto — that have different variants of different rarities and both perfectly fit the theme of Fundays this year. I feel like anyone who appreciates Funko can appreciate either, regardless of their fandoms! (I agree that a Pirate Franny Soda woulda been epic!)

I agree. Not all character Freddys work for me, so I like them only doing themed Freddy, Proto, and eventually Franny (maybe). And 9 Freddy and Protos each might be a bit much, but manageable if you don't collect the dog.

Personally I think the BoF sodas were fun, especially with the numerous color variants out there. I do wish that instead of proto they made it a Franny Soda. or if anything they could have made it a chase to one of the Freddy Variants.
