M.U.S.C.L.E FIGURES

Postby Chickyx2 » Tue Jun 04, 2024 11:56 am

Has there ever been any talk about making M.U.S.C.L.E pops? I remember buying these little figures when I was a kid and loved them. It would be cool if Funko made pops of this line.

I agree. This would be an awesome idea. I remember I use to think the colors that weren't flesh tone were super special as a kid.

Since 8 bit pops exist, I’m convinced these could be a thing too. would fall under the obscure definition of pops lol

I had to look up what those figures were. If they can make a stretch Armstrong they can make these.

This is a great idea, I still have a collection of my old MUSCLE guys! I don't think it's that obscure, this MUSCLE style was also used to make WWE and Masers of the Universe figures. I would definitely pick them up!

Certainly, or perhaps under the Retro Toy category line. I think I still have some in my collection lol

Omg I wasn't even aware of the motu line! I'm going to search for them now.

The size of this line would be big. The amount of characters that toy line had seemed to never end. I remember having a whole mason jar full and that was just a portion when they first dropped in the 80’s. I think there were over 150 wrestlers.

I appreciate it but I concur that it should not be challenging to accomplish. If my memory serves me correctly, I purchased a MUSCLE MOTU set from Super7 that was available at my Target. I believe there are also the regular line but new designs from Super7

I loved these so much when I was a kid. I had the ring and everything. When I was in my early 20's a friend of mine brought a guy over to our house and he stole my figures, which still bums me out to this day :(

A line of Pops might make up for that :)

 This story burns me! If you know where to find this guy remember, revenge, much like Gazpacho, is a dish best served cold.

Plus I hope they do make some POPS for ya to make some new memories! :thumbleft:

Damn, that sucks. People can be real jerks. When I was a kid I use to collect baseball cards. I had them with me and some random kid that was walking down my street asked me to see my cards. He stole my Ken Griffey Jr Upperdeck rookie card. I didn't realize until I got home later that day. Needless to say I was bummed.

Definitely in the obscure pop section. I'm still hoping for the DDR background dancer characters as pops.

If I am remembering them correctly they're a pretty basic but have room some cool sculpts. I feel like that is where funko has been lacking a bit. I feel like they would come out too basic.. unless they did bitty versions which I think someone mentioned

Good call for them to be in the Bitty pop line but if they did a big one image a Freddy muscle one. :freddy3:

Loved these as a kid but instead of Pops, I think it would be a fun and creative way of bring these back -- I'd do them as blind box minis. That way they have the same feel as the original releases (although some of that was clear packaging).

I can definitely see them being in Bitty or mini figure form! Regardless of the form they were to come in, I’d adore them because they’d look like prototypes!!

As much as I loved these as a kid and buy them any time I find them, I don't think they would translate well into Pops. I think if they did something like Super 7 did with licensed muscle style figures I would be all about them.
