Does anyone know if Barnes and Noble has stopped selling these? I don't see them on their website anymore.

They got clearanced out. Seen cases and case of these at some B&N but they'd all been picked thru already.

Agreed. It can be a game at B&N too. They increase the percentages pretty quickly from 25% to 75% but sometimes waiting too long and stuff flies out of the bins. I've tried waiting for stuff to hit 50-75% and have missed out on good deals because stuff does sell.

I was there on Sunday (Rancho Cucamonga) and not a single pop was left in the clearance bins.

Thats the market tho. They were 1/72, 1/72, and 1/36 in an exclusive box. Extremely hard to get, and prices reflect that, also the only versions of these characters available. I have none of the 3.

Buckbeak is one of the reason I jumped ship from collecting HP and the fact the LOTR style is so much better than the cutsey HP style

Correct. Exclusives are Barnes (tempted Galadriel, Invisible Frodo, Gold Gimli) and HT (Eowyn, Lurtz, Witch King).

I don't think this set is officially "vaulted" yet, but the store exclusives have been out of stores for awhile. But you never know, Barnes and Noble could stock them again!

Don't lose hope. I found Witch King over the weekend. My area is so hunted I was surprised at my luck. The box had been thoroughly squeezed and with the weight being so close to Saruman, I almost left it behind.

After hearing how the minis are hard to find...I feel even worse that the third LOTR mini box i ever pulled was an aragorn duplicate. Wish I oculd have gotten a third unique character.

Sorry to be off topic, but when I look at this thread, which rtb just revived (my favorite set too, still wishing for a Hobbit one), many of the old posts, including some of my own are blank. Any idea why that is?
