It should get a wide release. This is not the first time for a release like this as I got the two Joker sets at the HQ back at Thanksgiving and the Black and White one did not get announced 'til after that. They also had the Captain America 2-Pack, which is limited to 500 and in a live stream from there, they had the 2nd Venom 2-pack release on the shelves.

Same goes for Pop! releases too. Same visit at Thanksgiving, I got Walgreen exclusive Spider-Girl and the Walmart exclusive 3-Pack for SW Death Star troopers and those just started hitting the Walmart stores around the country recently.

The leaked Star Wars XS Hikari's appear to be based off the Dorbz molds too, I'm guessing by using the Dorbz mold as a base they spend less time/money on design labor and can get the product to market faster and with a smaller investment. The realities of being a public company I suppose :|

As far as the dorbz mold for the body, someone mentioned in another thread that it may be due to the licensing agreement. Similar to how pops have to bobble, maybe there is something with these too. Not sure if that makes sense though because larger marvel Hikaris have a lot of detail in the lower body.

I m surprised Funko is really ramping up the mini hikaris. I will probably pick up a Venom two pack for sure, and an Iron Man 2-pack when that comes out. Maybe one of these spideys as well.

I like the blue and red cause it reminds me of 2099 but it also just makes me wish for a 2099 XS set. One can be his classic blue and red suit and the other can be his newer white one.

I don't think so. There is not exactly a consistent rhyme or reason to how some items show up in the HQ shop first versus general release announcement. This just seems to be the longest gap in HQ spotting to announcement to date.
