Awesome gesture Brian and Funko. I know I voted for Pops in this. I don't remember if you had to provide addressing but you did have to at least put an email address as there was a side contest. The line that won toy of the year would be giving away a prize pack to one lucky voter who voted for that line. They were giving one of every product that line made in 2016. Not sure who won that but I'm sure Funko got the email addresses of the voters so I'm sure if you voted there will be an email out to tell you how to get your Holo Freddy. So excited for this. My question is if they will only make as many of these as people voted making it a very limited piece. Would love to have a hard to find Freddy in the collection!

How many people do you think voted? I was guessing a few thousand but others seemed to think it would be a lot more than that.

From the posts about Funko winning they did state they had the most fan voting out of all of the nominees. I would have to guess there were around 3000 votes for Pops. I couldn't see Funko giving away a specially created Pop if there were more than 5k votes as I believe that the shipping costs would be crazy. Maybe we will get a sticker on there with LE: exactly the amount of votes. Just a guess.
No matter what I love that Funko continues to give back to their fans and is probably why we all keep coming back for more and supporting them as we do!

I just found this on the TOTY website.
So it looks like all you had to do was enter your name and email to vote. Now I'm almost 100% sure I voted.

Register by entering your name and email address and confirming that you have read and agree to the Official Rules. Proceed by completing one, some, or all of the ballot categories. If you vote in at least one category, you will then have the opportunity to vote for the People’s Choice Award from among the toys you’ve voted for in your chosen category(ies). Once you make your choice, you will be asked to “Submit” your entry. Each entry received and recorded by the Promotion computer during the Promotion Period qualifies as one (1) entry into the Promotion.

That was about my guess too. I think others thought it would be more than that because of how many followers they have on social media. My thought was that most of those people are too lazy to be bothered unless a prize is involved

I agree with you. I'm sure a lot of people that are on social media didn't vote. We are currently looking to have our band nominated for for some awards My band has 5500 followers on FB and our music scene has to consist of about 10,000 people that would see this nomination post for us and the other bands in the area. I know the organizer and asked how the nomination process is going and he told me that they have only gotten about 400 responses! Complaints I have seen are that it takes too long (really occupies 1 minute of your time).
I'm sure this was the case with TOTY voting too.

Another example of why Funko is a great company. This is totally unnecessary, but they appreciate their fans and are always giving back. Who does that?

I'm sure they will just trace your email back to the email you voted, and then ask for you to enter your address, and they will cross-check.
Now if they don't check, we could have an issue of pops running out (depending on the limit) if someone didn't vote but is receiving a pop.
I think this is an amazing gesture from Funko and I am keeping my hopes us! I really wanna see it already.

Yeah I agree. Could be an interesting situation. Really not trying to rain on the parade, but they can't get in any hot water for this, could they? I dunno how this thing works, but I hope they don't have any issues with people saying they are "buying" votes. Regardless, really cool gesture.
The vote was not influenced at all. No one had any idea that Funko would do this. So I don't see any issues for this year....
But next year may have some people hoping/expecting them to do the same thing and that could affect the votes. But if nothing is discussed or offered before the vote, then they would be fine.
Funko might actually have to state that there will be no gift for anyone next year in order to guarantee there would not be votes just for a gift.
That's what I was worried about. This year was in the bag by the time it was all done, No way it coulda made a difference. I just don't want people to bring up some ridiculousness if they are up for it and win again this next year. You're solution sounds like the way to go to me. Always a few people who will try to say something, so I think that would be the way to go.

I voted for Funko and Dorbz. I'm blown away at how generous Funko is. They truly value their collectors. This is one of the many reasons I collect Funko (Pops, Dorbz, Wobbler, minis, etc.). It's not about the free stuff or the exclusivity, it's about the community and the company. Even if a Dorbz vote doesn't qualify me for a Freddy, thank you to Brian and Funko for making collecting so much fun.

Re: Free Holographic Freddy Pop for people who voted Funko at the TOTY Awards
We were required to input an email address when voting. I did not get an email confirmation after voting, so if you don't remember if you voted or not then there's no way of checking. I'm kind of surprised Funko has access to the list of who voted, maybe they make that available in case there are concerns about voting fraud. In any event, I don't remember providing anything but an email address when I voted so presumably Funko will send an email out to all voters at the email address they provided asking for their mailing info. Whenever those emails start going out then we'll know for sure who will get one and won't get one!

Still so amazing that Funko is doing this. That's how you know it's still a unique company that values its Funatics.

This is so amazing! I remember voting because I had such an internal debate about Pops vs. Dorbz and then decided to go with Pops because I thought they would have a better chance going up against Lego!
I am amazed at how generous Funko has been to their legion of fans over the past year or so. The free holiday present subscription box, the additional free Star Wars Pop to Smuggler's Bounty Subscribers because the Boss gifts were going to be delayed, a Fantastic Fundays and an Amazing Fright Night! I'm sure there is more that I am forgetting, but I'm still blown away by the generosity. So cool.

And of course you have your I want something for nothing guys. This morning at Wal-Mart a couple of guys were talking and saying they were going to say they voted so they can get one of these. The other guy said yea how can they prove you didn't. these are the same 2 guys that were buying every Hatchimal they could find at Christmas and bragging about all the money they were making. I know here on the boards where they were telling us about the nomination a lot of us posted after we voted. Not sure if they are on this board or not. I don't speak to them. There's always someone trying to take advantage of generosity.

Re: Free Holographic Freddy Pop for people who voted Funko at the TOTY Awards
Great job Brian and the funko team. I can see this thread blowing up soon. Hey buddy "they are giving out free Freddy's if you post you voted" (friend)" voted for what?" (buddy) "just say you voted and they give you a free Freddy"

Pretty sure I voted, but that was awhile ago and I'm not sure.
Either way it's awesome that Funko is doing this for their fans.

This morning at Wal-Mart a couple of guys were talking and saying they were going to say they voted so they can get one of these. I know here on the boars where they were telling us about the nomination a lot of us posted after we voted. Not sure if they are on this board or not. I don't speak to them. WoW . Of course people will try to take advantage. If Funko has people's email address than there is nothing someone do to try and take advantage.
It just goes to show that you can't do a good deed and not have someone try and take advantage of it.

Unfortunately, you're probably correct.
Keep it simple--no proof that you registered or voted, no Freddy. Sorry.

Thanks again Funko for the creativity and the generosity.

I think I tried to vote, but had a problem with the site on my phone not loading correctly and never got to complete the process...I think. That was a while ago and my memory is not what it used to be!
If I didn't end up voting, I will definitely still try to get this guy off ebay, as I'm sure there will be plenty of people looking to sell theirs!

I'm sure those guys will be weeded out because if Funko didn't get their email, they probably won't get the Freddy. It still kinda ticks me off though

I was putting together some specs for a wine label print file today and came across a page of "holofoils" in the foil book:

If the holographic Freddy looked anything like any of these, it would be soooooooo sweet!!
