Looks like South Par got its own line. Number starts at 1 and doesn't look like its part of the TV series. We can probably expect more. I like them, but I do think Butters needs the eyebrows from the box.

I feel like these would have worked better if they had given them white eyes with pupils, and given Butters a mouth.

I know this is the Pop style, but we've seen them break it many times when needed. Elmo and Cookie monster for instance would have looked terrible if their entire eyeballs were black.

The south park characters have such big white eyes, with such tiny black pupils. It takes away from them to make their eyes pure black.

Eyebrows have been added to the Butters glam!! PLEASE FUNKO ADD MOUTHS!!! It's a huge improvement, but MOUTHS are needed! Brian or Funko it's a must make it happen!

I had a pretty similar reaction. I first saw the thumbnail of the Butters Pop and my heart sunk a little. At least the other Pops look better than Butters and hopefully they will come out with more of the characters soon.

I did a couple quick Photoshop maneuvers just to show what I mean with the head shape.


Even just rounding out the head a little more already makes it look more South Park-ish.


If they really wanted to push it more towards South Park, they would make it white eyes and black pupils with the eyes being larger and closer together. But I could see why they might not go this route because it starts getting away from the classic Pop look with the full black eyes.

So I guess my conclusion is that I just wish the heads were more rounded to stay truer to the show.

An interesting selection for South Park Pops - Kenny looks great, and I am kinda liking Ike with this flappy little head. I think the Cartman translated pretty well too.

I'm not happy with these at all. I had high expectations, because I feel like the South Park characters already have a Pop look. Butters is my favorite South Park character and I don't like his Pop. He's all eyes.

I will say Zombie Kenny does look good.

I hope they make a Professor Chaos. Maybe he'll look good since Mysterion does. Maybe South Park Dorbz aren't too far off, too.

Also, where are Kyle and Stan?

I agree, butters definitely needs at least eye brows like on his box.

I think this will be the first line I aim to 100%, regardless of how bad they look (Butters).

I do wish Cartman, Kenny, Stan, Kyle, & Butters in their standard attire were Pops 1-5 in the line though.

I think Ike should've been a mini Pop! packed with Kyle :S ... I also didn't think Ike was popular enough to warrant being a wave 1 character???? Why would they make Ike over fan favourites like Kyle, Stan, Randy, Mr Garrison, Chef??? Also no normal Cartman? I like the little piggie in glasses variant but still :S all of theses just seem like odd choices.

I love the show but these didn't turn out well at all. Butters looks bad. And I guess they left out the rest of the gang to spread them out in waves so Funko doesn't run into another Doctor Who scenario where the first wave has what everyone wanted then the next waves are lackluster and don't drive sales.

First observations...

Butters looks off...weirdest and possibly worst Pop! I've ever seen...

Cartman is amazing...love that they went with something a little different and not just a generic Cartman

Ike...ummmmm HUH? Why Ike...who likes Ike that much...????

Mysteron, awesome that they decided to do this as a Pop! Looks really good!

Zombie Kenny...like it a lot!

So probably going to get Cartman, Mysteron and Zombie Kenny...I LOVE Butters as a character, but the Pop! version is disappointing to say the least. Easy pass on Ike too. Just hope they do well and we get 4-5 waves of South Park characters!

I'm probably one of a few people here who think Ike was a great choice for wave 1. I'm ok with Kyle, Stan and Kenny being saved for wave 2 because I'm going to buy them all regardless. Ike is one of my favorite characters so I'm excited to see him even get the Funko treatment at all. And to be honest, we're acting like Funko doesn't do retailer exclusives and variants at all. I'm sure there are some surprise characters or variants not announced yet for wave 1.
