Which lines look better in Dorbz form?

I've been going through my Pops! collection pondering if I should sell some pieces and replace them with their Dorbz counterparts. The reason I'm choosing one over the other is because of space and I'm not completist when it comes to certain lines. Another reason is that I feel some lines look better in Dorbz form than Pop form. One line I'm considering switching over to the Dorbz side is Futurama. It doesn't have as many characters available as Pops but I like the look of them a lot more. So which lines do you prefer as Dorbz than Pops?

This is really subjective, but I think a lot of the video games and cartoon lines look great in Dorbz.

I think the Scoobys look way better in Dorbz form but the Pops aren't even out yet for that

Like Scott said the cartoon lines tend to transfer really well. Futurama, Bob's Burgers, Adventure Time, Nightmare Before Christmas, Scooby Doo are some that come to mind.

I love Night Before Christmas in Pop and Dorbz, but some of the characters look so amazing as Dorbz. Oogie Boogie, Jack, and Behemoth are great Dorbz. Scooby Doo has to be one of my favorite Dorbz ever. I agree that the cartoon lines just lend themselves to the Dorbz style.

Continuing the cartoon talk I think Family Guy looks horrible as POPs, but would be amazing as Dorbz. South Park is also screaming to be made into Dorbz

I agree that South Park and Family Guy will translate perfectly. Since Simpsons pops have been long since retired, it's about time they make the family and car into Dorbz too.

I'm in the process of getting all the Batman Dorbz ridez. I prefer them over Pop rides in general.

The Ridez proportions are a bit more cartoony than the Rides, which I think is even better. And yeah, the smaller size definitely ups the cute factor :-)

As a Marvel girl I have to say that line looks great as dorbz. We started off rocky ( Ultron

) but now it like Pokemon season for Marvel dorbz I need them all they're sooooo cute

To me it isn't necessarily an entire line that looks better in one form or the other, just certain characters. For example I think Santa Jack and Vanellope look better in Dorbz form whereas I think Ariel looks better in Pop! form (both mermaid and pink dress).

I like the ridez better in Dorbz. Also the Moana and Scooby Doo are better in Dorbz. I wish they would make Harry Potter Dorbz!!! Please Funko make HP dorbz! [-o<

I will say I like the BTTF Dorbz ride a lot better than the POP Ride. Mainly because of material used where it holds a car form better vs feeling more like a dog's chew toy.

My HT has VERY few Dorbz in it and the manager has told me that is because they don't sell nearly as well as the pops. The only place I can really get any now that Hastings is closing is B&N with a bunch of old Batman and GOTG and Gamestop on the other side of town

THANK GOODNESS Funko figured out that issue early on and switched from vinyl to hard plastic on the Pop Rides vehicles. The only two chew toys are the Delorean and Tony's Caddy. I really wish they would go back and give us proper versions of those two that match the quality of all the other Pop Rides, would especially love to see the Delorean done right. But yeah I agree, the Ridez Delorean is awesome!

Honestly, I think with the exception of Slimer the Dorbz Ghostbusters line looks a LOT better than their Pop! relatives...just seem to look more authentic looking...

I think the x4 Dorbz Ninja Turtles also look better than their Pop! relatives...

Gizmo and Stripe from Gremlins look better in Dorbz form...

The Batman baddies line up look better as Dorbz...

As individual characters go, I think that Spider-Man, Leatherface and Jason Voorhees (both w/ mask and unmasked) look better as Dorbz...

Futurama would be a tie...Dorbz *almost* won, but honestly the Pop!s are pretty damn cool also!!

Definitely interested in seeing what The Simpsons would look like in Dorbz form...

I'm almost tempted to get some Dorbz...

Mega Man, 100%. I'm salivating over the thought of the Robot Masters are Dorbz.

Monster Cereals as well since they look a lot more cartoony than the POPs. Also, there's no Fruit Brute or Yummy Mummy POPs so Dorbz are the easy win there

Pirates of the Carribean also look better as Dorbz to me. I can't quite put my finger onto why. Maybe I'm just biased towards Dorbz now.

I have to agree.....I think there are very few that look better in pop form than in dorbz form. It's actually blowing my mind that as I'm looking at my collection, I am struggling to come up with m/any pops that look better. I keep looking at the dorbz figure and thinking.....aww your so much cuter/cooler. Don't get me wrong, I still have lots of love for pops, but if I have to choose between buying a line in either dorbz or pops, then dorbz wins out every time for me. For instance I have chosen to get the Scooby Doo line in dorbz, but I doubt I will get the pops. When they were announced, my intent was the exact opposite.

My how times have changed. 2 months ago....I don't think I even owned a dorbz except for the MCC ones which were still in their boxes lol

I cannot wait for the Cosmo dorbz. I love the pop version, but the glams for the dorbz version look awesome. I have a feeling he may become my favourite for a while when he finally arrives.

I would just make sure all the POP! Vinyl you want to trade in exists in both forms first. I know it is a big frustration to me that I basically counted on getting a Hawkeye and War Machine Dorbz when the Civil War ones came out and was extremely disappointed. I am still hoping they turn up someday, but for right now, they are glaringly missing. I had gotten rid of all my Marvel before I had their Dorbz versions and I regret that.

Well said. One of the reasons I'm NOT ditching my Futurama Pop!s for Dorbz (plus I have a gold pop! bender...not much chance of getting the dorbz gold counterpart for sane money anymore)...and another reason why I'll keep my Slimer Pop! if I get the Ghostbusters dorbz...

PLUS! Also visual preferences between Pop! and Dorbz aside there are some Pop line collections or stand alone Pop!s of mine which took some time to locate / complete and I just wouldn't want to have to go through all that again.

Specifically with lines like Doctor Who, which ironically is a line which translated really well in to Pop! form...I have absolutely no desire to track down umpteen 10th doctor variants in Dorbz form, if they made Doctor Who Dorbz...I'm happy with my WHO Pop!s...don't need to start it all over again with Dorbz...

Thanks man, although admittedly there are so many unreleased Pop! Futurama characters which haven't been done in Dorbz form...yet. Also think I prefer the Pop!s just ever so slightly over the Dorbz...think it's the Robot Devil which won me over.

1000% better visually and you get villains. How you can create a Scooby line without villains is beyond me.
Now if we can just get that Scooby-Dumb to finally release...and I don't mean the $650 sample pieces either

Personally I always think that "human" characters from live action look much better in POP!/Dorbz format, rather than "cartoon/animated" style characters. If you know what I mean? (Eg Ghostbusters =D>

I like the GOTG characters much better in Dorbz form. ALL of them look cute as Dorbz, but not so much as Pops! And while there were less details on the Dorbz, I actually kind of like it. Just seems better for the Dorbz aesthetic.
