Dear Brian/Funko, any announcements for Pop?

I've been seeing the announcements of all the new Dorbz and Vinyl Idolz the last few days as well as the Scooby Doo Pop (best news I've seen from Funko since Harry Potter was announced). Just wondering if there is anything else that can be teased for Pop collectors.

I think Brian has been doing a fantastic job with announcements lately, so I'm trying to be patient, haha.

That said, I hope we get a Star Trek TNG and Doctor Who second wave announcements soon, even if it's not until next year when we get them!!

My main hopes, and maybe Brian can give a yes or no to them:

- a new wave of Supernatural Pops

- rather than a new wave of Buffy Pops, what about a line of Angel Pops? Characters like Lorne and Illyria lend themselves very well to Pops

- Pops based on the TV show Community would be great

- Pops based on Japanese-developed video games like Kingdom Hearts, Final Fantasy, Metal Gear and Mega Man

As true as that is, if Buffy didn't sell well enough (that's the only reason I can think of to explain the lack of a second wave) how much hope is there for Angel? Even with such cool looking characters...

Buffy wave 2. [-o<

I'd like to believe that the Buffy Pops sold decently. There's still such a cult following for the show, and it's talked about so often, even in mainstream media. On this board alone there's a ton of people itching, scratching, and rolling on the floor for wave 2 (not me, of course

). And back when Vampire Spike came out, it's all anyone was talking about. I'd have a really hard time believing that it didn't sell well, especially pinned against some other licenses that are out there.

I think these "Dear Funko employee" posts are pointless. When they have stuff to announce I'm sure they will tell us when it's ready. I bet Brian/Yoko are as excited to announce things to us as we are to hear from them. It's like holding a secret for so long and finally being able to tell someone (us).

Would love to hear about more for Pop Games. We know Evil Within is supposed to be coming still, and I'm guessing Dishonored and Doom could come too. Kingdom Hearts would be awesome but not sure how easy that would be to get, even though it's technically a Disney property

Agreed. I doubt Futurama out sold Buffy and its getting a 2nd wave. I could be wrong, though.

I'd personally much rather see another Buffy wave than Angel (we need an Anya Pop!), I wasn't that big of a fan of Angel, although I do think Lorne and Illyria pops would be awesome.

Not true. I saw that Brian announced a bunch of Dorbz and Classic TV Pops here in the forum, so I asked in the Vinyl Sugar area about any new Vinyl Idolz. He directly replied to that with a huge list of upcoming stuff.

Granted, he's only going to announce when he feels like it, or when there's a big bunch of stuff to announce, and won't respond to every thread, but when Brian's got stuff to leak, he usually comes here first. Pretty amazing for a company of their size. One of the perks of being a Funatic.
