MLP Vinyl Discussion (Funko please bring back the Vinyls!)

I just got off of the phone with them (a whole 40 minutes worth) and all they could offer was a measly 10% off of my order. I have a gazillion 10% off coupons. For my first pre-order, this is absolutely ridiculous! :mad:

I still haven't gotten charged for the figures, it still says shipped on mine too, so I can't tell whats going on at all, and today I got an email asking me to review a purchase I made in May "while its still fresh on my mind".
I like how those emails can go through just fine but I didn't get anything telling me that there was a delay on shipping them.

Contact them on facebook and twitter. I had to bombard all their social media for 2 days to even get their notice and they blamed me for them not reading my messages i continually sent. Let them know how horrendous they are treating us, and that every customer service agent each one of us has spoken to has had a different answer, or lie as I have discovered. No one knows what is going on, and that is ok, but they need to teach their customer service reps to let the customers know have have no clue.

Its fine if Celestia is late, but communicate if they would communicate that that and ship out the Luna that they do have. Its not that hard to please people, its when you make them wait for some date in the future that is constantly shifting further and further off to ship your order when they are able to fulfill at least half of it now, that makes people really upset.

I tried contacting them on Facebook several times now and I've gotten nothing in response.

Oh, but I did get an email today! Yeah... a second email asking me to review the Luna figure. It's like they're rubbing it in that I don't have it yet. I'm not amused, Hot Topic! [-X

It's Hot Topics fault they are not letting customers know whats going on, and to find out info from them is like pulling teeth. I called Funko today and got a very helpful girl on the phone, she explained to me it was a delay on their end and that they should be getting them in today (Funko) then they have to ship them to Hot Topics headquarters which are in two different places she says this can take about a week. So it looks like this 12/12 is really what they are hoping for... It was nice to get more details on where the ponies are though!

That's good. If 12/12 is what they're aiming for, that's just a little over a week away so that isn't bad. I just wish Hot Topic would've been more helpful.

I broke down and placed a bid on a glitter Spitfire on eBay. Decided to call all of the Hot Topic's near me during my break and none of them have Spitfire, and a few of them even told me they weren't expecting any new Funko pony figures any time soon. So... yeah, I guess I'm impatient. After being scammed, I just kinda want to be done with the glitters.

They will ignore you on Facebook and twitter unless you post over and over and make your grievances public. The squeaky wheel and all that. They would publicly post that I needed to message them, and it was on day 2, with sending 5 messages to them as they asked before they finally responded and blamed the busy holiday season for the lack of responding until now. I think it is silly that you kind of have to go to war publicly with them on multiple sites to get any response from them. That is frustrating alone, add on they blame you for their lack of response and it is maddening and build up anger for that alone by the time they respond and blame you again.

I hope that 12/12 is true, they have have given several dates now and all have come and passed with nothing. I was going to give these to my neice for her birthday and when I finally got Hot Topic on facebook and laid everything out they said they could upgrade me to overnight shipping and half off. All I wanted is the ship to my home.

Hey everyone, I'm new to the MLP collecting for my daughter. She has a glitter rainbow dash and a few metallic mlp pops. But for the regular ponies, are all the clear glitter ones harder to find? I'm trying to figure it out, she loves the glittery ones but it seems that they are harder to find. Thanks in advanced for any help!

I just got an email that my Luna has arrived at the local HT. I preordered Celestia too so this "we can't ship until we have both" is not true at all. No excuses!

May we all get our Lunas that we preordered!

They probably just got a normal store shipment in, since when you order to store I think its mixed, because I just got off the phone with them and they said they won't ship mine until Celestia arrives.

Almost all of the glitter ponies are 1/24 so yes they are much more rare thats why the cost more on ebay. Glitter Rainbow and Derpy are the SDCC exclusives from 2013.

Ok thanks! That helps. Yeah I bought the glitter rainbow last year at SDCC for her. I've been looking for glitter pinkie pie for her with no luck

She loves her metallic ones, she has about 5, I just got Princess Luna Glitter one but I have never seen Pinkie Pie in stores so I was wondering why. But since they are 1/24 that makes more sense. Thanks so much! Guess I'll have to resort to ebay lol

That could be, I'll have to see. However, in the past, my preorders arrived there weeks before their stock shipment of MLP vinyl.

I got a reply on Facebook from Hot Topic and they offered me free next-day shipping on my next order with them. So...yeah. That's nice and all, but I'm still a bit frustrated over this whole ordeal. They at least explained, in detail, about the shipment of Celestia being late from Funko and that there was nothing they could do about it. All we can hope for now is that the date of 12/12 is correct and we start to see our orders soon.

I called the hot topic number I got off of the better business bureau and I spoke to a woman who gave me 25% off towards my order. She also sent a confirmation email of our conversation and explained everything you guys already know, which is way better than the 10% off my next order crap (they did include the free shipping off of my next order) or not getting a response at all. I explained to them that they need to keep the consumer informed, because its not fair to us. I am super happy that you guys got an official "explanation" email. I'm still waiting...

It just dawned on me that I made separate orders for my Lunas and Celestias and so that's probably why my Luna has been shipped.

I'm not really expecting to get the apology email/coupon for Celestia though.

, don't feel bad. You know you are always my first choice. It was just the suspense of what she looked like in "real life" was killing me. I couldn't keep all of the visual magic to myself. Yay I'm crystal king haha, but they are torturing me with this wave...I will have the Celestia reviews up! I am getting so impatient why can't they pull this crap on the DJ Octavia wave then I wouldn't have cared as much! Why my fav ponies!!! Why!!!!

I was thinking that last night-- if they had messed up with DJ/Octavia, I wouldn't be as concerned as I am right now with Celestia/Luna. It really doesn't help that we've been anticipating these figures for a while now!

I have to say though, I'm satisfied with their response to me and I'm hoping that everyone else gets responses as well. I'm still not entirely happy with the whole situation, but what's done is done. When I get my figures in-hand, I'll be happy.

Congrats! Although thats my biggest fear finding or getting a glitter Luna with broken pieces... sounds like people are getting broken tails here and there...

Thanks guys, but you misunderstood. I wanted the hot topic in California to ship to my store location in Maryland. What I meant by finding her is I called different stores in different states. That's why I was upset hot topic does not do store-to-store shipping. I don't physically have her. I apologize for not being clear. Thanks for the love!

Yes. Not sure if you have been following th Tokyo planet vegeta pop thing but they were suppose to get those pops a few weeks after NYCC which was 1st week of oct. They are just able to sell these today. NYCC was almost exactly 2 months ago.

I'm not sure where the strike stands now and why some merchandise is able to get through but it's complicated and we may all need to learn to be patient.

Oh well. I'm going to be as patient as possible. There really isn't anything that can be done about a strike, I just hope it gets resolved soon for everyone's sake.
