MLP Vinyl Discussion (Funko please bring back the Vinyls!)

I think that realistically, Cadence will be next. Her and Twilight aren't too different in size, she doesn't have a ridiculous mane or tail, etc. Either that or someone that can be used from an already made mold. If we get another wave, I'm still hoping for Chrysalis--but with her size difference and ridiculous legs I'm not holding my breath.

I don't think so I think we will get Luna and Celestia before her, aren't Cadence and Luna about the same size? They will probably have similar body types, with Celestia/Nightmare/Chrysalis being much taller. I don't think complex designs are going to alter what they will do next, they know what people want and next most wanted pony is Luna and the community all knows it, they may hold off on her because of that fact like they did with Twilight/AJ/Rarity. On Chrysalis/ a Changeling are two of my biggest wants from Funko as well I just know they are the only ones who can make a good accurate quaility figure they are our only hope, Chrysalis has only been in two episodes which is working against her if we see her again in season 5 I think we have got a shot for her!

I'd love a Silver Spoon and Diamond Tiara! Big Mac was a pretty big mold; guessing they are comfortable enough with the larger molds to do Luna/Cadence/Celestia/Nightmare Moon.

Not the only one. I contributed to the Maddie kickstarter but actually don't want Maddie. I do want clash. So I am happy to contribute until we get clash made! I saw on iG that the artist had posted some pics as he was working on the heads for the other horsies if the apocalypse. I think they will he fun to display with the funko ponies and it love the pose that clash has. Also like the ghost looking one. I think named ghost.

Rarity and Discord arrived at two of my local HT's last week but because I was ill for most of the week, I missed out on the glitters. From what I've seen no Los Angeles area HT's have Daring Do. I did not preorder and was looking to get one with hot cash but that may not be likely.

Are you sure they didn't get the minis in and someone bought the whole box? One of my stores got four boxes and they all sold within a week (me buying a whole box and then some) but the other three boxes did not last long at all!

I called one of the Hot Topic's near me that didn't have Daring Do before, and the worker said they didn't have her still. So my fiance and I went looking anyway and they DID have Daring Do. There was just one on the shelf, so I probably missed out on the glitter (if they got one at all). Soon, I hope. SOON!

It's totally possible. I go about twice a week just to look and see if new things are coming in, and I've never even seen one single box. But I have most of the minis I want anyway. Just sad I haven't seen them for sale yet.

The Mystery Minis of Series 2 are really spotty. I've been to 6 different HT's, and only two had them.

Also, random question for those who watch the series. Since completing the series on Netflix, I'm confused as to how "Dr. Whooves" got his name? It seemed kinda random that he would be made into a vinyl since he isn't shown very often in the series. And never like the vinyl looks. Explanation??

He looked like the vinyl in an episode (I think it was Cider-Squeezy 600" the one with flim and flam)

Funko makes fan favorite ponies along with mane characters, so basically if a character is very popular with the bronies online they have a good chance of being made such as Maud Pie or Soarin (not a background ponies, but a popular one kinda like a Trixie type release pony) A good example of a background pony that might be made would be like Berry Punch (the drunk pony) since she has a lot of artwork and people like her.

With Doctor Who being at the height of its popularity, and a pony in the show that vaguely looks like the 10th Doctor and has a time turner for a cutie mark, fangirls and fanboys of both shows jumped on that immediately and ta da! He became Doctor (W)Hooves.

Fun Fact: His name is actually Time Tuner. This was a case of the fandom name quite obviously pushing the actual name into the background and thus into obscurity.


I guess the writers and artists of the show just rolled with it, since he was seen with the 3D glasses and walking through the forest with Roseluck (much like the Doctor and Rose).

Dr. Whooves appears in the background numerous, numerous times. Off the top of my head, he's quite prominent in Pinkie's history of the Wonderbolts video.

Daring Do finally showed up in local stores but I missed out on the glitters.
