I have a feeling they're just doing a giveaway for the Hasbro SDCC exclusive. I believe they did the same last year with DJ Pon-3.
Kinda doubting it'll be anything Funko related.

On a somewhat related note though, I don't want to take mine out of the box but that Mane-iac figure fits in well with the Funko ponies.

Well, pre-ordered a Rarity and Discord figure, but unlike my Applejack and Big Mac ones, they didn't come before the street date. They were scheduled to arrive this coming Friday, so I went to my local HT on Saturday, and walked out with them then and there (Ill take my incoming ones there for a refund).

I immediately then started work on my Blog review/post: http://wp.me/p1Zr1c-23g . Discord I was greatly impressed by, but there were some gouges and little abnormalities in Rarity's hair that kept me from loving her as much as Fluttershy and Applejack.

Called the last Hot Topic on my list, and they got the figures in but no glitters.

I guess it's time to do a daily eBay search for the Rarity and Daring Do glitters I need until they're at decent prices. I shudder to think of the prices they're going for right now.

Nice. That's a pretty good price any time of the year from eBay. They haven't hit the west coast yet (weird how it's backwards this time) so I've got high hopes. I have the next two days off, hoping for today or tomorrow.

Daring Do and Rarity are all I'm actively looking for right now. I've pretty much given up on finding Bon Bon (Sweetie Drops) or Spitfire, because from what I've been told, those have been found in comic book shops and I've checked the ones around here. A lot of them don't even sell Funko products.

$40 is great, though! That's usually what I average when I buy the glitters on eBay. If I can get a hold of a Rarity and Daring, I can sit back and relax until the next wave of pony figures.

I went and picked up Discord today. It isn't a glitter. I don't really mind, I hope Rarity is though. They had a few of Rarity and Discord in the store too. But, no glitters that I could see.

So, has anyone started speculation on what the next wave could have in it? I reviewed Applejack and Big Mac ( http://wp.me/p1Zr1c-1VI )on my blog, and mentioned how it was a given that Rarity would be in the next, wave, but also wishing Funko could give us Discord...and speak of the chaotic devil, look who showed up!

I did something similar with my recent Rarity and Discord review ( http://wp.me/p1Zr1c-23g ), putting a little Top 10 1/2 list at the end of the figures I figured had a good shot now that the "Mane 6" and Discord were out.

To me, Discord makes it a good possibility that Funko could turn out larger figures like Celestia and Luna (or even Chrysalis!). Though freeing up the possibility for more ponies...or even a certain rhyming Zebra. Of course, the fact that we've seen a clothed pony (in the case of Trixie), makes me hopeful that Maud Pie could be made, or even Cheese Sandwich (you just know Weird Al would be bombarded by fans wanting him to autograph those!).

I also think many of us would love the Cutie Mark Crusaders, or even Spike. I've staved off buying a Hasbro Spike, in hopes that maybe one day, Funko could render him in vinyl to fit in with my little ponies.

Yeah, Season 3, I couldn't recall any stand-out "background" characters. Ms Harshwhinny is good for a laugh, but she doesn't seem the kind to have enough oomph. There is Lightning Dust, but she's kind of like "Rainbow Dash 2.0."

One I think would be good as a release next to the CMC's, would be Cheerilee. Granny Smith would be good too, but it seems in later episodes, she's no longer using her walker.

MLP Friendship is Magic is VERY good!!! One of my favorite current shows on tv, animated or otherwise.

Would not be collecting Funko ponies if not for enjoying the show so much.

Give the first 2 episodes, "Friendship is Magic part 1 and 2" a try and hopefully, hopefully you'll enjoy it so much.

And oh yes, the songs! To me, they're comparable or in some cases better than what you would hear in Disney movies.

As someone who didn't enjoy MLP growing up in the 90s, I have to say that Friendship is Magic is the almost perfect blend of everything great about cartoons and it's well worth watching.

I'd definitely suggest starting with the first two episodes of season one, but be warned: most of the episodes are nothing like that! The action-packed, story driven episodes are usually reserved for the season openers and finales. The bulk of the episodes are mostly small lessons in friendship and funny, goofy, day-to-day sort of things.

It seems like the west coast is getting their ponies long after we here on the east coast have gotten ours. Which is totally weird since it's always the other way around. I suspect everyone should have them before the week is over, but who knows.

So, after being told how awesome Friendship Magic was, I decided to watch a few last night. Well, i'm almost through the entire first season. I totally LOVE it!!

Now I just gotta get to collecting all the vinyls! I already collect the Pops, but I am liking the vinyls more and more
