Bringing back the Oldies??

Postby BRiley0216 » Fri Jan 12, 2018 10:03 pm

We recently got the glams for more Halo pops, with how long its been since their release it raises the question of what else could we possibly see more releases of? Im hoping for more pops from the Mass Effect trilogy, not to mention were still waiting on two from the Andromeda series. Whats something you hope they start producing more of that series or new poses of said character? Let us know!

I would like them to make some action poses of the Martian Manhunter and/or Green Arrow.

I'd like to see an action pose Maul this one in particular, but the box is probably going to be wide due to the saber lol

yes, i vote for more action posed remakes of older pops. It doesn't take away from the original and updates with newer, more modern sculpts :)

I'm always excited to see new molds of stuff that has been long vaulted. Some lines are just absolutely horrible looking compared to the things they're putting out now. Funko has really stepped up their sculpts and painting so I think almost anything in the vault could benefit from a new release as long as the property/license still has a big following. The old ones will retain their value for people concerned about that, but I'll be happy with my new Master Chief just as I am with the new Sonic. Here are a few I think could benefit from new re-release because i think they'd look way better and still could sell like hotcakes:

Spongbob
Simpsons
Star Wars (looking at you stumpy head Lando and Amidala)
Pop Rock in general
Current Pop count: 280
Current Dorbz Count: 16
Newest Pop: SSGSS Kamehameha Goku
Favorite Pop: SS2 Gohan
ISO: Not even sure anymore

I really like this idea. It also gives some of us an opportunity to get a version of a vaulted or hard to get Pop

I hope they go back and make Iron Man 1 and 2 movie Pops. I would love to see a movie version Mark 1 Iron Man, Mark 2 & Mark 3 Iron Man, Iron Monger, and Whiplash Mark 1 and Mark 2, Pepper Potts, and Black Widow from Iron Man 2. I mean they did go back and make Captain America from "Captain America: The First Avenger", so i think this is not out of the realm of possibility!

I would love new versions of some of the classic marvel and DC characters that are now vaulted. For Marvel specifically, I'd love a new doom, red skull, the thing, Phoenix, and ghost rider. I guess we kinda got a new GR with the rides though...

We definitely need new versions of classic DC. We finally got new versions of Martian Manhunter, Penguin and RIddler last year, but I still want a new Green Arrow, Hawkman, Shazam, Two Face, Darkseid, Green Lantern and Flash!

On the Marvel side we most certainly need a new Nick Fury and Jean Grey.

I like the idea of bringing back vaulted characters with different molds or additions to their original state. It's really cool for those of us who haven't been collecting from the very beginning to be able to enjoy those characters while still keeping the value for the day one die hards.

Win win when that first iteration is still valuable on ebay and the new guys to get a chance to have a pop that we might've never been able to afford or find for that matter.

They did come back with some new riddler and penguin but I don’t personally count them as they were part of the 66 tv batman line and I don’t do those. Personally not a big fan of that show.

I'm OOB, so a 66 Chase Riddler and Penguin look very similar to some of the newer comic book POPs, but if you IB, it could definitely stand out.

I'd personally like some redesigns and action poses of some older more iconic pops. I feel like Funko keeps acquiring licences for things that are (atleast in my opinion) relatively niche and end up rotting on shelves in stores because only a handful of people buy them.

I wouldn't mind some sort of Deluxe Pop so that they could do a full-scale Phoenix Effect.

I'd love to see updated versions of the Michael Jackson Pops. I missed out first time round, though looking at them now, they could do with an update. Sculpting for Pops has gotten much better.

I am not at all a fan of variant after variant of the same character with minor changes, like holding a different object or in a different outfit (Harry Potter, Deryl Dixon). But I am all for doing something really different, like the same characters in crazy action poses (like Harry flying on his broom, Rocket with his jetpack or the new hovering Yondu) or putting them in Movie Moments scenes. If they're going to do it I just want to see something creative.

I'm fine with anything in a new sculpt, especially is its an action pose of some sort. As time has went on, pop figures have gotten so detailed and look soo much better than the original ones. That original pose is classic, but man, these newer ones look amazing.
