Han in carbonite will it ever happen?
As far as collections I do think that Star Wars has the most characters and Pops individual characters.
Is there any chance that they're ever going to make a actual Han in carbonite pop?
It just seems like we have everything else made at this point. Would it be going to be a convention exclusive or that would come into Smuggler's Bounty box??
Thoughts?

They already did a Jabba's Palace box, so I'd put SB off the table. I want this Han so bad, I don't care where they put it, though.

True; I also really want this pop too. Very curious as to how it would look like.

Yes they already made him! He's hard to find these days.

OK, OK, maybe Funko didn't make it, maybe I did
I don't think he'll ever get made due to their licensing agreement. Can't easily make him bobble.

Thanks! Here it is out of the box:
This one was a commission that a fellow Funatic gifted to another Funatic.
Unfortunately the donor Pop is vaulted, I could make one but the Pop alone is going for 25 bucks now. PM me if you want a price.

I don't think this pop will ever happen since it's hard to make him bobble. Fortunately as the above pic shows, we plenty of talented funatics that can make customs

Funko is very clever with their designs. I bet they could find a way to make this without violating their license. As for where is could be? My would say convention but they could make an entire SB box dedicated to Han and he could show up in there.

That custom is awesome tres! I think it may happen since they are making dorbz now and you can't make a dorbz bobble head. Maybe they acquired a new license to make these now

They could just make the whole thing bobble, ala R2-D2, maybe.

Thank you Rickakatuna, Brutesquad and cmasicampo!
Thanks Joe! Excellent point about the Dorbz, they are not bobble heads so they could very well make a Dorbz Han in carbonite, that would be cool! If I understand correctly the Dorbz are not considered "action figures" like the Pops are and thus are not subject to the bobble head requirement that Pops are.

Yeah, I agree that they wouldn't be able to do the full carbonite set up with the case thing he's held in without eliminating the bobble factor. They could probably do a dark grey chrome han solo, without that case, so that he'd still be able to bobble.

It'd be tough to have it represented with the required "bobble-head" style for the Star Wars line. :/

That custom is art
I'm hoping Funko can pull it off similar to R2 with a shoulder bobble, just for the whole carbonite slab to bobble at those points?

Re: Han in carbonite will it ever happen?
Two easy ways they could do it I think..the could do it similar to the Vader medal for the one year Smugglers Bounty, or make the Pop itself a dark grey metallic, and do the insert for the box a similar color, not that this way would make us out of box collector too thrilled.

I would buy this for sure, though like someone said, not sure how the bobble would work in this situation.

I kinda shudder at the sheer amount of different variants a Han like this could get, even the GitD treatment could work, chrome, translucent blue, even glitter would look amazing!

Re: Han in carbonite will it ever happen?
R2-D2 Bobbling at the shoulders probably still "worked" because his body still bobbled. But I have a feeling Carbonite Han Solo may not be so easy to get past the license if you made the side Bobble because it's not exactly attached to Han's body. Anyway, like most have said above, the license requires SW POPs are "Bobbleheads".
So I'm just guessing any form of bobbling head Han Solo in Carbonite may just look silly. What I'd love to see is some of Reis' theoretical concepts of how this POP "could" work with the license (I'm sure he's tried). I mean maybe they sell a two part thing where you have a bobblehead Han Solo but he can be covered with a Carbonite Case that snaps tight around him? But then again that starts hitting the "action figure" license that Hasbro owns.

I think if they were going to do it, they would have already done it by now, the only other way I could see them doing this is when the han solo movie comes out and only if there is a big demand for it.
Are we having fun yet ?

Could do it as just a prop thing that slides out of the back of Slave One, then frozen Han wouldn't need to bobble as Boba's head would be satisfying the bobblehead part of the licence agreement.

Great custom! Couldn't you just cast another from the existing custom pop? I don't know why you need a $25 vaulted Han.

That is a very awesome custom. I really hope that one day we will get one but I'm not holding my breath. I wonder if they could get away with not doing a bobblehead but instead making the entire thing bobble.

Thoughts?
Only a bazillion customizers made this a couple years ago. Some did one offs, some did fancy little editions with certificates and even protos.
