DC Pops That Haven't Been Made

Ok, so I must admit I'm not a huge DC guy, but there are quite a few I own, and want to own.
I know this has been brought up before, but maybe someone from Funko can chime in, or someone else "in the know" can.

How come a lot of the same characters are being made over and over(Batman, Joker, Harley, Poison Ivy etc), but others haven't been touched even once? Is it a license thing where only some of DC have been given to Funko, but others, for some reason have not? Obviously we all know who's missing, Lex Luthor, Mr. Freeze, comic Doomsday, Brainiac, Ra's Al Ghul, Clayface, Solomon Grundy, comic General Zod, Zatanna, Lobo and a ton more. I know there are a lot of others everyone would personally want, but none of the ones I've listed have been made at all, and yet, they are very well known.

I'm really just curious and I really would love to get a few of these if they are ever made!

Your guess is as good as mine. It just seems we get less DC stuff than Marvel. Batman/Joker/Harley must sell by the truckload, because that's all we ever get, it seems. Funko needs to step up their DC game!

Its okay, DC has Batman. Clearly every other character doesn't matter. Once they put Lex Luthor in a Batman costume in the comics, im sure he will Pop! up.

There were Arkham City versions of Mr Freeze, Robin, Catwoman, & Scarecrow that were shown in the Funko catalog but were never made. Scarecrow eventually made the Arkham Knight line but the others are still absent.
The Batman animated series line will fill in the gaps on some of the villains. Brian stated they plan on digging deep into the characters of the show.
As for comic versions, that doesn't seem to be the direction WB wants to showcase their properties
Maybe one day we can get them but don't hold your breath

It really is too bad with the Arkham City line being stopped, those are probably my favorite DC line with the way they are stylized.

I've been waiting forever for a Sinestro pop in his Sinestro Corps uniform. I know we got the Green Lantern version from the movie, but the comics one is the one I've been interested in. With the Sinestro Dorbz in the proper uniform releasing this winter, I'm hopeful it'll finally happen.

Lots of other Lantern universe characters I'd love to see, but he's my main want.

New molds for all the main Justice League members. Since Batman has a few new molds the rest of the league needs new pops with better body proportions. Supes with more dynamic poses, a more feminine Wonder Woman, Flash with some translucent electricity effects, etc.

Yes, this! Batman Returns is my favorite Batman adaptation of all time. Was thrilled to see Dorbz, hoping they'll lead to Pops! Just Pops from the Burton Batmans in general would be a dream come true.

I'm a DC guy. I love Batman as much as the next guy but I would love to see less of him and more of the villains he squares off with. Starting with Ra's al Ghul and his daughter Talia. There is so much history between the 3 of them, making a ton of possibilities for Funko. Maybe a father/daughter 2 Pack?

Honestly I was thinking the same thing, you have to maximize profit by stretching things out for as long as possible, but it's just painful to get Batman after Batman after Batman and still not have a single version of Lex and a bunch of other characters, even if it was just one version and not a ton of variants, haha.

I know Mattel used to say that while they had the DC master license they still needed individual approval every time they wanted to do a new character. I wonder if Funko's license works in a similar fashion or if its just carte blanche.

There a lot of higher profile comic book characters still to be done and considering the after-market value/demand on the earlier comic version pops they could certainly reissue/tweak some of those for a re-release.

With the announcement of Super Friends Batman, I'd love to see more of the Super Friends.

Starting with the sidekicks:

Then, some of the more obscure heroes:

Yeah, thought we'd finally get a Lex from BvS but to no avail. Plenty of versions to make, from movies to animation to Smallville and of course the comics. We recently got Clark Kent so fingers crossed!

A lot of fantastic ideas for sure in here, I was just generally baffled at the lack of very popular characters. I have no problems with what they have released for the most part, I am just surprised certain characters haven't been released at all thus far. I understand the need to stretch out sales for years and years to keep the profit up, but since I personally am not one to buy variant after variant for most characters, I'd love to just have a few specific characters on my shelf, and they just haven't been made yet.
