Brian speaks on the success of Dorbz

Postby thejosh2010 » Wed May 11, 2016 2:09 am

They're adorable!!!

Did he happen to mention Star Wars Dorbz in there!?

Where do you all think the first SW Dorbz will show up...maybe in the next Smugglers Bounty box the way the Ultron was debuted in the first MCC box?? Will they have to have the Star Wars bases as the POPs do..? What are your thoughts Funatics??

Partially inspired by Little People. I never made the connection, but now I can totally see it and maybe that's why I like these so much.

Now I want a Walking Dead Dorbz Barn that moos when you open the door.

YES!!! Little People are why I love Dorbz! Especially my cowboy Deadpool, despite not being a Deadpool fan.

Interesting take on Dorbz. Never thought of the similarity to the Little People. Cool.

And so glad I'm not a Star Wars fan.

Considering Marvel isn't I guess it doesn't have to be. I thought I remembered seeing somewhere that hasbro no longer has the liscense with might muggs so Funko could now do figures for marvel/Star Wars, but they didn't want to change part way though. Could be wrong though.

Hopefully this means they'll start to become more available in stores because right now they're very difficult to find if not impossible.

I agree with this! It seems some GS and other places are slowly getting a few new ones here and there but the old stock just sits and gathers dust lol. I'm loving the Dorbz habit because I can go "hunting" again with my wallet rather than my savings account :P. Thanks for sharing this vid, can't wait to see what's in store for the Dorbz line! Until I see glams I won't be getting too excited, to me it seemed like Brian was just naming off big licenses. There must be a reason we don't have any SW Dorbz yet.

That said, I do hope they make it! Nothing cuter than a Wampa Dorbz!

My money is on Rogue One to start just because being the first SW Dorbz it'll be a good way to get people to buy into that series. Then a release of the original trilogy classics like Darth Vader, Luke, Han, Chewy, Leia, R2, C3P0 and of course Boba Fett shortly after because they know it'll sell know matter when they release it.

I do have this concern as well, it did seem like he was just naming off big licenses that go hand in hand with their current Disney/Marvel license. Since we haven't seen any SW Dorbz yet, I do wonder if there is some licensing issue and they'll have to come up with another work around that managed to keep the Dorbz "look".
