Re: Protective cases
What sizes are you looking for...?
4" & 6" (2 sizes..Standard like Godzilla & Thin like Hulkbuster & Hagrid) - I like Fugitive's best and only use theirs in this size..have also purchased from RetroProtection (max shipping is $11 based on weight..so order 100 or 10,000, and shipping is still only $11) & I'veGotProtection (shipping is "free"..actually included in the prices; I find that if you order lots of items, these work out to cheaper, but depends on what your looking for)..both are good, just not as thick IMO as Fugitive's. The argument about the type of plastic is null to me...been using for well over a year and no problems with the Fugitive ones. Stock is also an issue sometimes for RetroProtection, but doesn't seem like as much for I'veGotProtection.
http://fugitivetoys.com (their new site doesn't have them up yet)

If your looking for premium protectors that guarantee something will not get damaged while in the protector, I personally always use Toy Tokyo POP Stacks! They are pricey, but the best of the best!!
http://www.toytokyo.com/pop-stacks-official-polycarbonate-case-by-funko/
Hikari - I've always used RetroProtection..just remember that sizes vary with the Hikari's...fits Mickey's & Buzz's..not Stitches or Black Spider-Man; these are great quality IMO!
http://retroprotection.com/category.sc?categoryId=146
Dorbz - IveGotProtection is the only company I've seen with these..waiting on my first batch as we speak!
http://www.ivegotprotection.com/shop/dorbz-standard-funko-protector'
9" - I've used both Retro & IveGot and these are a pain in bum to get inside considering their very large size, but they are good quality considering how big they are! Cheaper from Retro if your only ordering a few with other protectors as well than just a few from IveGot.

Re: Protective cases
Action Figure Authority also has some.

The sliding bottom one is nice because it looks like a really nice display case for a special Pop, but they are more expensive than the toytokyo ones.
I recently ordered 3 from toytokyo to me they are the best bang for buck when it comes to protecting Pops.

Re: Protective cases
For the hard cases, I use POP Stacks...there are other options out there, but those seem to be the cheapest. They do fairly well, but I have received a few that were already cracked. So I'm not sure how far they were dropped from or what happened, but they will definitely protect your POPs. For the soft cases, I just get them on ebay. Spend a little over $1 each on them. Protects good against minor knocking, scratches and scuffs, etc. I would never keep my $1000 pieces in one of those, but maybe up to $75-100 pieces I keep in there.

Re: Protective cases
On the hard acryllic cases- definitely get the PopStacks ones that Funko makes instead of the non-funko ones. They're sturdier and easier to use for usually the same price.
Also, big ups to Retroprotection- I love that guy. GREAT customer service every time I've used them.

I like the retroprotection ones. They do a lot of different sizes, so it's a one stop shop for Pops, 6", Rides, Hikari, 2 packs, etc. They seem to protect fairly well, I've used them to mail out pops and they have protected pops from drops and falls off shelves.

Re: Protective cases
I prefer retroprotection for standard pops and pop stocks for expensive grails.

Re: Protective cases
I definitely love the Pop Stacks, especially the design of the top and bottom that fit together with multiples so they...stack together nicely (actually find it a bit satisfying to rearrange my collection of Freddys etc). I've tried a few different of the soft plastic kind and everything that people have suggested so far works pretty well only minor differences. Wish I could put my whole collection in stacks but feels strange to spend as much on the protection as the pop is worth so I save the stacks for the Freddys and Stan Lees.
Not sure that is economically feasible for any company to produce Retro Freddy protectors given the edition numbers of most of them but it drives me a bit crazy to have the rest of my collection protected at least from dust and my Retros "exposed". I would actually go so far as to say it has made me hold off collecting more Retros just because I have no way to display them with protection. However Retroprotection and others have produced protectors for specialized sizes in the past like the Deadpool Ride and Hulkbuster so maybe one of these days.

I never knew there were protectors for Hikaris. Anybody know if the size retroprotection has fits the Rainbow Dash Hikaris??

Unless they are the same size as the Mickey's & Buzz's, then no. Here is the size they have....
RetroProtection wrote:The box that fits in this protector is roughly 10 1/8 x 5 1/4 x 4 3/8 OR 25.7 x 13.3 x 11.1cm. There are other new sizes of Hikari that DO NOT fit in this one so please make sure this is the size you need.

Re: Protective cases
Funny you mentioned sending Retroprotection an email Josh, I was thinking the same thing. Maybe at least it would show them there's interest out there. I still think its a long shot given the edition sizes but then again I didn't think they would make protectors for the Hulkbuster or the Deadpool ride.
