The Vault (Updated List 09/11/15)

I've come across a lot of posts/threads regarding POPs that may or may not have been "vaulted." I went to the Funko website to take a look at what POPs they have listed as in "The Vault." I was surprised to see what was and was not on the list. I had some spare time so I put together a list of all the POPs on that list, in order, in case anyone would like to take a look. I asked someone at Funko if The Vault section was current and was told that, yes, it is current but to keep the following in mind:

Just because something becomes vaulted it doesn't mean it will disappear tomorrow. It just means Funko won't be manufacturing any more. There could still be a bunch of stock in the warehouse that hasn't made its way into stores yet.

well just pulled trigger on the Thundercats set. managed to get all 5 for $52 with shipping. Now since darkseid is on the list, do you think gemini exclusive version (GITD) will be out of stock soon? Iv been debating on when/if I should buy him.

With the star wars pops and now the thundercats pops im going to have to sell a kidney if I want anything else, but you got to do what you got to do

This is true. I could think of a lot more POP! Heroes that are retired. This is a great list though! Maybe we could get an official list started based on what we have in this list already? We could have everyone comment and confirm which POP!s they know are vaulted/retired. It would be nice to to have a big full list.

But will all retired pops also be vaulted? The way I take it, pops in the "vault" can be rereleased periodically, but I don't see a Loki #2 or Green Arrow being rereleased anytime soon.

This is the exact list on Funko's website. What are the "plenty that we all know". Do you know? Do you work for Funko? Do you communicate with someone who does? I've said for a while now that just because someone heard or read someone say a Pop! is retired/vaulted doesn't mean it is. Just because a particular Pop! had a low production run and they are hard to find, doesn't mean that it was "officially" retired/vaulted. If this list is what Funko says is vaulted, then I have every reason to believe this is it.

That being said, since Mystique is retired, I need to finish my X-Men set.

you don't have to work for them or know people that do to see when things never come back in stock really, just have to be a collector for about a year or longer and you'll see when you can only buy stuff second hand.. but off the top of my head there's Cheshire Cat, Mad Hatter, Boo from Monsters Inc, Captain Hook, Peter Pan, Pinocchio, Ursula, Winnie The Pooh, Tigger, Goofy, Donald Duck, Grumpy from Snow White... and that's just Disney. There's also the three Power Rangers, Sonic, Tails, Knuckles, Boo Berry, Count Chocula, Franken Berry, I know some other DC and Marvel are as well. I think all Pop Rocks and the Hello Kitty line are also down and out.

Again, probably just low production runs. I'm sure they made 7654336798642 copies of dancing baby Groot to satisfy the populace of the Milky Way 300000x over. But 4 years ago do you honestly think they made more than a few thousand (or few hundred even) of the Riddler? Probably not.

I wonder what's the hold up re-releasing with some of the pops. Since that tweet about re-releasing pops maybe we have not seen all that are coming out soon. Plants vs Zombies, Gir, Alice and Wonderland (possibly), Toy Story, that could be it. Funko is already releasing so much I want so I'm in no hurry, haha.

I think that's incredibly wishful thinking. There are lists going around but this is the only OFFICIAL one, but that doesn't mean they are done with it yet because they've updated a few times over the past few months and sometimes add ones we've known haven't been available for years later than the ones that were just vaulted... I haven't been going by what people assume are retired, I'm going by stuff that has been out of stock for a year or longer and hasn't came back yet. I know all the Toy Story ones were vaulted and Buzz and Woody will be re-released soon according to GameStop, but they were never added to the vault page.

Awesometoyz has an unofficial list, if you search kirinhobby.com for "pop vinyl" then it'll give you over 1000 results and has "discontinued" for the ones that are retired/vaulted.. you can ask local comic shops to order them for you and if they can't, it means they're not made anymore.
